I used to have a Proform from Sears, hated it, noisy, hard on joints.

In June I bought a Nordic Track with an extra wide belt and extra long track with programs, fans, one touch speed and incline adjustments, grip heart rate monitor, etc.  I love the Nordic Track one.  It was $1200 on their website, free shipping and 5 months 0% interest financing so not a huge chunk all at once, which was what I needed to spend that kind of money, but I love it and use it more than I ever did the Proform, and it was only $400 more than the junk Proform.

Precore is also an excellent choice, but who can afford $3500 for a home treadmill.  They have them at the gym I used to go to between treadmill purchases but too pricy for my budget.
