Then click on the "Sounds" tab. If the sound you're talking about is a Windows Default sound, it should still be there. If it's a sound scheme you downloaded, you will probably have to download it again.

You'll have to go to the ESP panel and click...sm
on something that says to allow AutoCorrect to work. If I remember correctly, the ESP takes over and won't allow your AutoCorrect to work unless you do this step. It will ask if you're sure, just say "yes" and go on. Works for me anyway. Good luck.
indeedy i have worked for companies who "control"
how much you earn by the dictation you get. Don't get too many lines in a day, or you will get the crappiest dictators on earth for the next three days of the week. OR, you will get ESLs that slow you waaaayyyy down. Been there, I know how rotten these companies can be, and I know exactly what you mean. These company owners are not your friends and not fair... Don't have my head in the sand, or maybe I had to EARN my pay!! They have good dictators that I haven't transcribed in years....but that's okay. I am used to the crappy dictators now, and get my work done very quickly, so no more slowing me down, until they decide to put me on a NEW hospital or something. Yeah, you caught on quickly!!! Good luck to you. Once you get onto all of the crappy dictators, your job will be secure. Who else can do all of the crap?
sorry, I means "sounds like search" NM

the little white piece of paper icon to bring up the window where you ADD your new entries to, type your abbreviation in the Keyword box, then drop down to the Text to Type box and put in what you need it to say, then click Okay. You're done! If you want to delete your entry, arrow down to it, then click on the Trash Can icon. It'll ask if you want to put it on the clipboard, say yes and hit okay. If you want to modify it, use the little hand on the piece of paper icon. I like to click on the Disk icon to save stuff once I enter it, too, as a backup. If you're working and want to enter a paragraph or a page, you'll hightlight your stuff, bring up the ADD window, copy and paste it into the Text to Type area using the commands on the bottom of that box, name it, and hit okay. To use hot keys and stuff, you'll have to read the instructions in the help file. Good luck! ..nm
Is there a specific panel/s you are looking for?

Check in Control Panel>
Default Programs and see about file associations, or what your mail program thinks is the default connection. There also might be a place in WinZip to designate a connection, but I don't know for sure because I don't use that program.
Hope you find it, let us know!
Think you can get there doing Control Panel/Display and

Check control panel?
Look under control panel/printers and faxes and make sure the printer didn't get changed, or maybe just click on it again.
Also, make sure all the cables on back of printer and computer are tight.
EXText: ESP control panel?
I am new to this whole "platform" business (used to type strictly from tapes or from dictaphone system tank in hospital) and noticed under Tools the ESP control panel (or something like that). Is this an expander? How does it work?
Thank you
I just got a 22" flat panel LCD Monitor for $119. sm
at BestBuy. I absolutely love it. It will automatically adjust. It has an "auto adjust" feature. It is a "plug & play" when you hook it up to your computer.
You will like it.
All of my computers are Dell and the new LCD monitor is Westinghouse. Works fine!!
If you go to Start, Control Panel and
Sounds you can change things under the Sounds tab and play around with it. Don't know which listing you would have to uncheck as I don't know if that is a popup window or what, but it is a place to start.
Link for Oncotype gene panel

Once you get there, click link for "21-gene panel," and you'll get a nice little table of all the genes! In case you can't get to that site, I'll e-mail the contents of the table to you.
Look in your control panel for "foot pedal" if you - sm
have XP and see how it is set up.
Try Folder Options in Control Panel.
Go to the View tab and then click Show hidden files and folders. I hope this works.
You also might have to go to Control Panel/Game Controller, and add it in there. nm

? switching monitors to flat panel sm
I have ordered a flat screen monitor from Dell and will be switching from a 14 inch dinosaur to a 17 inch flat screen on an Acer tower. I just wonder if I am going to have problems or does it "adjust itself" without problems. Need more desk space. TIA
Same thing happened to me.....go to settings, control panel, (SM)
then go into something called Intel Extreme Graphics, and then rotation. Set it back to normal. This should work.
Look under Control Panel/game controllers and see if it's listed there, too. nm

Is your footpedal recognized on your Control Panel? Let Tech Support help you. nm

I got my computer locally so as not to deal with Dell and Fed Ex etc. I have a flat panel and I
think it is okay but not as clear as the regular monitors. I think if you pay a fortune for an LCD you get great clearness but with the 3 or 400 dollar ones it is adequate. I live in PA also. I got it because it is better for your eyes.
Go into Control Panel and see if it's even listed under Game Controllers. Has to be recognized by

printers or fax printer, making sure the printer you are using has a "check mark" next to it. Right click on the printer that has a check next to it (if there are more than 1 listed), click on Properties. Under General, click on Print Test Page. If there is an error, it usually will list the problem and and offer you the option to use Repair. Additionally, you may want to check your connections to be sure they are secure.
Mine shows under Contrl Panel/Add or Remove Programs. No

Is your pedal listed when you go Start/Control Panel and look under game ports?

You have to click . . .(sm)
on the "eye" and then the foot pedal tab. Then you can input 2 or 3. But it will not take effect until to download the next job.
Click on history
It states that in Nov. 2004 Warburg Pincus and Soros Private Equity Partners acquired Spheris. It is right on their history page.
I use GearPlayer and when I click (sm)
"start," "programs" and find "GearPlayer", when I highlight Gearplayer I'm given the option of "tools" and then I can test my footpedal. Just wondering if perhaps your footpedal will be controlled by whatever program you are using to run it? Try checking under your programs listed and see if there are any options there. Or try rebooting your computer, maybe and see if that resets something??? I hope these suggestions help you!!
Right click on your desktop (sm)
and select Arrange Icons and uncheck Auto Arrange.

This one seems to only do the mouse click
part, and doesn't let you move the mouse. It says you can use one pedal for the mouse click, one instead of the ALT key, and one for the CTRL key. So you would still have to take your hand off the keyboard to move the darned mouse. At least that's the way I read it.
Usually you click on their name and e-mail SM
box will open up. You fill it out and click send. You won't know what the e-mail address is as MTStars keeps is confidential....so it might behoove you to use an anonymous e-mail of your own if you have one.
Hope this helps!

You have to right click the file and
save it to your computer. Then open express scribe and load the files from wherever you saved them.
When you click on the C: drive,
'Documents and Settings'? That is the folder that I would double click on in the C: drive folder, and then 'Owner'. My 'My Documents' folder is inside the 'Owner' folder.
Did you try with a right mouse click instead
xx
I don't think it works that way. Usually you right click and tell it
what directory to save to. Once it saves the file then you open it and do the test. This is the way I've tested several times. If you are testing using and MTTest test this is the way it is done.
If you click on "posted by", you get a -
"send an email" form that pops up, where you have to put YOUR email info, but it doesn't disclose theirs.
Still.... I'm always wary!
