 I do not understand why all the MQ MTs continue to get all riled up and make fools out of ourselves. If you have been with MQ for anytime at all, you should know that any major changes made, you will be advised! Especially if it affects your pay, production, etc. Apparently, policies vary from office to office, so what is going on at one office may not pertain to your office. If you have a question, the best place to address it is with your TC, not on this board, where you get answers from God only knows who! And no, I am not MQ management, I am just an MQ MT, but a happy one. I work for Monrovia, as many of you all do, and never has a policy been changed without my prior knowledge. so please, people, quit making fools out of us and get a grip!

I am sorry... I cannot find the thread on the Spheris-India ad that had several of us upset a couple days ago. It was about an ad found at: http://infiya.blogspot.com/2007/02/spheris-medical-transcription-company.html
I shared that site and my opinion with other MTs on another message board. One of them contacted Spheris about it, and I wanted to share the response they got:
"Thanks very much for bringing this to our attention. Please rest assured that Spheris is in no way associated with this blog/web site. The images are outdated and were used without our permission, and the text is indeed atrocious; again, Spheris has no association with this posting.
Your message indicated that perhaps you questioned the validity of the posting, and understandably so. In fact, our internet filters have the site blocked and tagged as "fraudulent/phishing," so it may make sense to run a scan on your computer for Spyware or other malicious software that could have been installed by the site.
Obviously, we value our reputation across the industry, and these types of unauthorized representations are very disturbing. We will get to the bottom of it, but please do forward anything else you may come across that appears suspicious.

Oh, I found it really creepy when you said you found the flowers not so skillfully arranged on your
steps, and from your own flower bed. That's what I was worried about, having gone thru some psycho kids myself with my pups. Someone's been in your yard and in your garden and at your door without your knowledge. Its just creepy to me, and I'd still be very, very careful. Especially valid sounded the other MTs warning you about potential fake molestation charges. You just NEVER know nowadays, and these people have already turned on you big time once. Luckily (though I don't believe in luck), you had it on film to save yourself and your puppy. You might not be that lucky next time, and the whole thing just sounds very unstable to me right now. I know you feel sorry for the little girl, but probably the only time I have ever made BAD decisions regarding my life is when I felt sorry for someone, particularly kids. My son even has an evil kid in his life, but one who has a million reasons for sympathy, and I was saying how we should "be bigger" than the situation and invite this kid over to play. Thankfully, I regained my sanity long enough to remember - ever time I have done something like that on a personal basis for someone just because I feel sorry for them AFTER horrible behavior, it has always been a disaster... Be kind, but you don't have to risk your family again. Be kind from a distance. Its sorry she went thru this horrible experience, but YOU didn't cause it, and its not really your problem. But it could be your problem if this kid acts out in your life. Know what I mean?

If the newbies are making $7 and not admitting it..shame on them. We all had to start from somewhere. Moreover, you people with your smart-butt replies to honest questions make me sick. What's wrong with a polite reply, say, something like, We just discussed that recently. Why not access the archives....etc....but NO, ya gotta have a wise-crack answer. Shows your mental age real well.
Don's use the Archives, just use the
"search" box just above the postings, not the one at the time that you have to check web or mtstars.

i had a young neurosurgeon dictating an extremely complicated brain surgery while on his cell phone in his sports car...all of a sudden i hear the engine screaming (sounded like a ferrari!) and him saying, "sh**...I gotta make this light, hold on..." which was followed by nothing but ENGINE noise for a few seconds, then a brief pause, and he calmly continued dictating his complex report...talk about multitasking...i'll never forget that one. :)

Please help....everyone always says "look in archives" BUT...
when I look in the Archives for let's say Amphion....it only brings things up from 2007? Explain this to me.

How do I search the archives? sm
For instance, I try to find info on TTS in New Hampshire and I put it in the search box at the top of the page and click "mtstars" for searching rather than search the web. I get only stuff from 2006 when I know there is more recent info. It happens to me with everything. What am I doing wrong?

I have been reading in the archives about expanders
I have gotten the names of Smart Type, Instant Text and Shorthand for Windows... I would like opinions on these if you have one, and I would also like to know if I can use one program for both my desktop and laptop, or if I have to buy the program twice and enter all my expansions twice?

for any kind of stories related to identity theft resulting from offshore medical (or other) records is a start. Another angle would be to look for info. from editors on specific instances (Pt. privacy respected, of course!) where offshored or even US bargain-basement transcription came back with errors that could have caused injury or legal action.
