screen your calls! Only take work related calls or call from school that you know have to be answered. I still have people that get mad at me for not answering and leaving messages "I know your home!" But too darn bad, I work like any other person.
As for the kids, they are old enough to know to leave you alone while you are working, no matter what drama. Unless the house is burning down of course! I have 4 kids, 19, 17, 8 and 7. They know not to bother me unless absolutely necessary.

C-phone and caller ID question
When I'm on the C-phone, I can hear the beep that says there's an incoming call but it doesn't display on my home phone (which normally has caller ID display). Is there a product that will circumvent this and/or display caller ID on my computer? I have high speed DSL, so displaying it on the computer will have to go through the modem. I called Bellsouth (my phone and DSL provider) and they were of no help other than to say they have no products that would display it on the computer. I'm already spending money on high speed internet, unlimited long distance, etc, so I'm reluctant to increase my phone bill by adding a 2nd line.
Thx
Same thing happened to me. The caller couldn't even tell
After being told by my supervisor that the possibility of me getting paid less money for doing the editing for voice recognition, I immediately brushed up my resume and headed out the door.
they get booted due to lack of caller votes..nm
Hmm, I've gotten several calls from "out of area" on my caller ID....SM
over the last couple weeks. I don't answer them, and the caller never leaves a message. The calls can come during the day or early evening.
I wonder if it could be MQ....
I don't answer "out of area" or "unavailable." That's why I have caller ID.

Unlisted number, caller ID, and block unknown callers.
I think it's *67 to block unknown callers and *69 to find out last unblocked caller. There is another key combination to press when you want the phone company and/or police department to trace nuisance calls. You can fight this. Public edcuators have it rough. First, no respect in the classroom, then these punk kids think they can mess with you at home. Fight back. Escalate it to police chief, mayor, and supervisor of the phone company if you're getting nowhere with the lowly peons.
