am by no means a techie, but I've BTDT so can at least point you in the right direction.

If you do have a power outage, unless it is a catastrophic outage that might affect the cell towers, then yes an air card is the only thing that would work.

A laptop battery if new will last maybe three hours, but the more things you do on it the less it will last.  If you are surfing the net while working then it uses more power, so even in a power outage a laptop may not be a saving grace - but, you can get an inverter that you can plug into the cigarette lighter in your car and it then gives you a outlet that you can plug your laptop into or a cell phone.  You can find them at Target for about $15.  Can probably find in a computer/electronics store too.  We have a large one that has 4 plugs.  We can even plug in the crock pot and cook while we're traveling.

On an episode of Dr. Phil I saw just the other day, he said that children have a hard enough time living outside of a broken home, but should never have to live INSIDE of a broken home.  Wise words, in my opinion.  I, personally, think you did the right thing and as long as you are taking care of your children and have a decent roof over their heads, he really can't do much.  Like you said, if he wants to partake in your children's upbringing then he can come to see them.  Unless you moved closer to your parents or siblings then you should probably sit tight where you are since you have a home church and people there who you can talk to.  Also, there are very caring people who post here regularly, so please don't give up on this site just because of a bad apple.

On AOL I can determine who I want to receive mail from and block those I do not  -- and if they are blocked  they get their E-mail back as being "undeliverable".  If she sends things out -- send back --unaccepted.  But to be simple just E-mail her back or call the recuriter if you don't want to deal with her directly and state -- leave me alone.  If she is in another state you should not be scared of her but you may simply have to put it out there in no uncertain terms.

I can't get past the login screen.  It says "Welcome!" then throws me back to the login screen.  I see they have a message that says "You can still send messages to your contacts through your Outlook or Outlook Express."  Wrong.  Can't do that, either.  Have been on hold to Atlanta for over 1/2 hour.  Whose idea was this??

Log in using your I-mail address and your password.  I-mail address should be your MQ name (?)__@medquistmail.com.  Password.  You get into a screen that apologizes etc.  Hit continue. 

If you forgot anything there is a box that should allow you to retrieve password. 

If all else fails, call tech support and they will walk you through it as I did the first time using it at 1-800-342-8283.  They can help you specifically for I-mail problems.

and will be happy to answer additional questions.
