I agree that it is unreasonable to expect the docs to know every term out there. However, I too have noticed that many act like medical words are new to them. I thought by the time they reached dictation stage they already had umpteen years of anatomy/physiology/disease process, etc. education. True, they can't know everything, but they should at least sound well versed in their own field!
