Exercises

In Reply to: Does anyone have any good ideas for back and hip pain from sitting all day? Anything on the market? - Hips-a-bustin'
Have had some problems and PT and a personal trainer had me start doing step exercises, just step up and down on a step about 50 to 100 on each side several times a day. It really helps to take 5 minutes to do this and I have had great relief from my hips with this. Also sleep a lot better on one of those foam memory pads. I stretch before I get out of bed for 5 minutes. The past six months has been great and before that I could barely sit for 30 minutes or walk up stairs. Now I am bouncing around. But I am religious about doing them when my hip begins to hurt. Also take Glucosamine with MSM if it gets really bad but don't have to take it very often. Won't hurt to try it.

are you looking for the exercises?
My daughter bought a used one also without the charts for the exercises. she found a whole series on Utube of pilates reformer exercises and she used that for instruction. Hope that helps you.
Anyone know of any good exercises for....sm
losing fat in the mid-section...right below breasts but above belly button? I have gained a lot of weight there over the past 6 months where I have to buy larger clothes just to fit over that area. I am so disgusted about it and sitting in one spot typing all day is not helping...Well, I think the chips aren't helping either...Wondering if anyone else out there is having this problem, conquered it and willing to give advice on this particular type of fat. I know fat in this area is the most dangerous - so please, anyone with any good information let me know...Thanks!

Exercises for increasing speed
I have read a few folks asking about this and thought I would share.
When I was mentoring MTs, I would point them in the direction of a post by Redpen on Mtchat. In that post, she takes folks thru an exercise of firstly writing down all the times/things you are doing during your shift that is not transcribing. Then after you see the time you spend at work but not working, she talks about listening ahead, so you make fewer mistakes (because you have listened ahead and you know if the doctor is going to tell you to scratch that or whatever).

So far, not much loose skin, but you do need to do toning exercises
and work out with weights to help prevent that.
