At what point does New Orleans' local govt take responsiblity for the mess up. While I was listening to the mayor screaming and cussing on national TV, why didn't I hear the same thing out of the mayor of Bilox, Gulport? Because they didn't EXPECT someone else to do everything for them, they got up the next day, those that could helped clean streets to make way for emergency workers to get through. They weren't sitting around screaming at the federal government. It took FEMA over 2 weeks to get down to the MS Gulf Coast, but you didn't hear the local government griping about that. The local government did their part, just like it's doing in Florida, then FEMA comes in as an assistance measure, not as the primary response to this horrible disaster. If a mayor doesn't have the proper executive skills, then don't take the job just cause you get to be mayor of a big tourist city. Whooopie! You need brains to run the show.
