I don't have an address bar either to type in a web address. The only thing it shows at the top is the little icons for stop, refresh, home, favorites, history, etcetera.

I keep trying to say, over and over again here, that LINE RATES ARE ARBITRARY!!!!
Having the right MT job is a matter of three things...courteous people to work with, a decent platform and enough understandable dictations to make some money. I can PROMISE YOU that if they are paying a lot, they expect a lot. If the situation was more pleasant, they could hire MTs for less than that high high line rate.
Now, I am not saying I'd work for 7.5 cents or even 8, but I did take an employee position for 8.5. I accepted this for other reasons. You all might think that companies owe us benefits, PTO and so forth on their tab and that we should STILL be paid top dollar. There are companies who do and can, but they work their MTs very hard and I know this first hand.
Benefits, PTO, 401Ks...these are NOT free! There is no free lunch with this stuff. Remember that the only people in an MT company who are actually GENERATING income are the MTs. The QA people, the team leaders, the IT people, the MT manager, the owners...they all suck on bottle ONLY WE fill with milk. I am in favor of fewer office people being around to suck from that bottle, and a wise company has as few support staff as can be managed and at the same time, charge as much money as they can get away with. If they offer benefits, those benefits suck the bottle too, but they make cheese out of it and hand it back to us. That means less cream for pay, but it means having cheese. The bottle holds a finite amount, after all.
My taking less money is because from all I have read, this is an excellent company. The benefits are low priced and the company pays part of this for me. The PTO pay is the most fair and reasonable I have ever even heard of, and there is plenty of it even in the first year. The QA is all promoted from within, they still type on a daily basis as it should be, and they all have at least 10 yrs of experience. The platform is a dream come true. Even at 8.5 cents, I stand to earn over $30 an hour that I could not earn at 10 cents a line because I didn't have this much support.

oh well he has one more chapstick floating around to recycle next MT appreciation day.

even not to ask the physician the next time you're there if everything is okay. THEY would feel totally violated to know that you know without them sharing it with you. SO you have to choose, do it and forget it, or send it back and tell your boss to assign it to someone else so you don't get it back.

I like seeing someone who is not terribly athletic be in the final 2. Terry is competetive and athletic but his sensitivity chip is absent. Shane was a character and made it interesting to watch. Loved seeing him with his son. They'll be fine. Why hasn't Aras stepped up and won any challenges? Strategy? Or just not capable?
I like Cirie, too, but never thought she'd last...
when she said she was afraid of leaves on the first episode. I figured she was the first one to go. Now, I hope she wins it all!

I think she's played the game well. Terry is obnoxious. Danielle does not deserve it. Shane was a bit irritating but he made it interesting to watch though.

Terry has been a jerk. Glad Shane is gone. I don't want Aras to win. Danielle doesn't deserve to win at all. It seems like Cirie has left a good impression on everyone on the jury as well. They were all smiling when she talked but when Danielle was talking, they were all rolling their eyes. LOL!
Cirie has done a wonderful job playing the game.
I'm thinking if anyone else keeps her that she could win. They all talked about getting her out way back at the beginning, but she's gotten this far. GO CIRIE!!!
Terry has done a great job getting the immunity to keep himself in the game, and we all know he has the idol for extra immunity, but I do believe he's getting cocky and that rubs me the wrong way. He'll definitely be around awhile, but can he make it to the end?
If the other two, Aris and Danielle(?) got to the end, everyone would have a hard time choosing who should get the money, so they certainly should stick to working together, don't ya think?
He calls me daily whining that he doesn't have any money. Then calls me names when I
a check. He hasn't looked for a job, hasn't even read the want ads, I'm sure. He told me he realizes he can't live without me. My paycheck is what he can't live without! I feel so humiliated and angry sometimes that I put up with him for as long as I did!

I'm the "bread winner" in my family
and my boyfriend, who doesn't work outside of the home, handles all the activities normally associated with the "housewife" role.
It's not an arrangement for everyone, but it works perfectly for us.

I also blew some money signing up with Quixtar... The only way to make any money is to bug everyone
you know into signing up. I felt like a snake oil huckster. I hated it. I was flushing money down the toilet from the moment I handed over my money.
RUN, do not walk away! I do an entirely different side business now that I really love (in addition to my MTing, which I also love!) Find something you're good at and that you truly love doing. Then make a business out of it. That's the best way to have a side business. Selling discount toilet paper through Amway/Quixtar? Not so much.
The CMT exam is overrated. Don't waste your time & money. Use that money on
paid anymore just because you have it. There are a few CMT cheerleaders that post to people like you but they are pretty well sucked up into that association.
love, love, love the show. hate american idol. this show is for real.
the only reason i entertained watching it was because of mark burnett and as usual he has such genious casting and editing. btw, don't know who anything about "metal" music but these performers make me like it. love marty and jd as performers. HATE JESSICA. susie is so nice and so emotional. it seems they all support each other and enjoy each others skills. regarding ty and bob marley, ty was excellent but he also lucked out on the song! bob marley was genious too and his music is very easy to listen to. i don't like 3/4 of what the others are given to sing but their performances make me love the music. dave navarro shines on this show, very gracious for the most part and letting the contestants down easy when they have to leave. he was great last night with brandon (?). sweet, sweet show. i am so impressed with everyone involved.

It's people like you that make me sick. I am done defending my use of the shock collar. I am going to continue with it and my dog will continue to be pampered , educated, fed, kept warm, and love me for everything that I do for him even when I remind him that his barking needs to stop. So, with that said, I will not respond to any more of your CRAP in reference to the shock collar.

if you do bring it to the attn of the office manager, why not offer her a raise to compensate. it is obvious she just needs or wants more money than your office is paying her. I agree, it is a free country and although it seems odd, unless you had it outlined in contract, she can work for whomever or whereever she pleases on the side. at least she is typing and not at a strip joint, lol. I see no conflict of interest, she has experience obviously in whichever field you are in and what is wrong with doing extra in that field. i agree with MYOB "nicely" and concentrate on your reports than looking at older reports and seeing who they are typed by.
No need to wonder..It always means less money for the MT and more money for MQ.
