ESL overload is what led me to 'quit' my job!

I know exactly what the poster is going through. They may have used strong words, but they are strong emotions and I can soooo relate the need to vent! I had the week from ESL h-e-l-l a while back there and that's when I had a meltdown and quit my job. I wound up not quitting after all, but it made me realize that there's only so much a melon can take before it implodes on itself, ya know? Here and there it's do-able, but when you get day after day of it, and you are anal retentive like we tend to be, and have to have everything just perfect--it's killer. Makes ya really hate your job and no one wants to hate what they do for a living.
Hang in there OP (original poster). You are not alone!

yup. I think you are right...OVERLOAD!
I started all at once on a new job with a new platform and then the IT as well. I figured if I was going to be slow, I might as well be slow just once!LOL! Anyway, I did get my old Expanders in and it is not so much the bottom of the screen but more the markers, etc. i tried to switch to spacebar, but that was worse. Anyway, I may keep trying or i may go get a real job! Thanks.
I don't think 25% ESLs is an overload and most are
fairly easy. So far, Transtech has been a great place to work, great people, plenty of work, and easy to maintain a consistent line count.
The ESL overload wasn't my cup of tea at all. nm

system overload
You should run a system defrag and clean up through your start/accessory/system tools. Tis will free up space for you and optimize your computer. IMO this should be done soon so you do not lock up during work.
Technical help, please- buffer overload?
Going along today and computer decided to show me a buffer overload, not able to do anything at all, said something overloaded. Anyone know what this means and how to get rid of it? I used to have Dell, oh how I miss and was told you could not have a computer made by Dell because of Vista and cannot use Vista on my platform. I need assistance, anyone??
That is exactly what it is. They overload these accounts, you keep learning new
ones as backups only to find that they then get overloaded and then you sit there and wait for work making probably minimum wage. Well, just keep two PT jobs and then when one runs out go to the other and let it go. The whole thing is not about the MT or what they make or how much time they spend playing the game. After awhile, you just say I will cover myself.
TransTech had an overload of ESLs for this experienced MT. Couldn't take it! nm

Do not work for Amherst if you can work for any other office in MQ. It is terrible. They overload
accounts terribly. We are always running out of work or need to have 8 or 9 backups to get lines in. This is the way it is. There may be a few out there that it is different but I do acute care and was just transferred there along with my office and everyone in my office is in the same boat. Not a good deal at all.
