I have had many accounts the past two years go to EMR, which as brought me to the realization that the need for medical transcriptionists will eventually all be replaced by electronic means.
By all means if you have the opportunity to change your contract and make more money, go for it. I have not had that opportunity in my experiences and have just continued with the current contract that was in effect prior to their change to EMR. Otherwise, the best advice I have is to ride it out. Even after the transition to EMR I have found that the docs still get on and dictate occasionally. I would recommend some supplemental income or to get another account. Good Luck :^)
