Dust and molting

I don't really have a problem with the feather dust. I know what you mean though. I have had Cockatiels before too. As far as molting goes, my Grey loses several small white down-like feathers a day. I have been told that this is completely normal. Molting for pet Grey's is usually a continuous process so it is not as noticeable as it would be with other birds. They don't tend to lose large amounts of feathers at one time. I think in the wild they do molt once or twice a year. But as pets it is more of a continuous process. I usually will notice a feather or two in the bottom of the cage every week or so. Really the mess is mostly the seed, like you said...they LOVE to throw it around. LOL But they are wonderful and very funny birds.

Dust....
Hard drives are factory-sealed, so although it's true that a small bit of dust can harm a drive, that's probably not what happened to your drive. If you have a hard drive failure (are you sure?), it was something else that caused it. Dust ON a hard drive case doesn't cause drive failure.

Dust inside a computer causes overheating, which mostly affects power supplies and circuit board components like the CPU (main processor).
DSM-IV is about to bite the dust and the DSM-V is on its way. sm

And shame on you anyway.  What psychologists do, how they do it, what they call it and how they diagnose is not always consistent with medical diagnoses.  The ugly word "retardation" is only one example of this.

I'd like to see you find a doctor and a psychologist who can agree on the differences between situational depression, major depression and recurrent depression, and how they should best be treated.  An MD wants drug therapy.  A PhD wants psychotherapy.  When you have a certain type of hammer, everything looks like your special kind of nail.

I am finished with my shift and I come in for a visit, but I am not on here all day complaining about doctors or bashing my fellow MTs.  Glad YOU don't have a job that takes your time and attention because YOU could not be on here all day to stir the pot.

Hey, I like that! I'm a member of DUST

You got that right. We are being left in the dust
Why sell cars to us when our jobs went to China and India and we have no money to buy.  Wonder what will become of us?  Who knows.
Well, well, word gets around, another OSi QA bites the dust
What is wrong with all you QA's who will not leave OSi altogether, how many is that lately who won't put up with you know whose QA BS and need to tell the whole company good riddance and up yours

Suckups
just a thought, but perhaps the "adapter" bit the dust??
just a thought.
I found the problem - dust bunnies!!!

I got brave (or stupid) and tried to open it up. It was full of dust bunnies!!! I blew out the stuff and put it back together, and it works GREAT now! It guess it's like how a mouse with a roller can get filled with junk and not work. Who knew!!!

I actually was worried that I wasn't putting enough weight on my pedal. I barely rest my toes on it instead of my whole foot, so there isn't much up/down motion - lazy I guess.

But just so everyone knows - save your $$$ and blow the dust bunnies out if this happens to you!

Usually years. Were you given a used one, full of animal hair, dust, or

I so agree. My blazer finally bit the dust last year. I used to go driving just because the sm
seat felt so good.  It was perfect.  Sigh.  gone now.
give it time, dust is settling, they just have no place else to gripe yet. nm

Definitely could be dust and dirt inside your computer. Be careful when you open it,
buy computer air cleaner at electronic store, and blow the air into all computer parts. Use a clean and static-free brush to dust all components. Be careful not to touch any parts inside with your hands to avoid static electricity whch may zap your machine. Important to unplug everything before opening up the case. If you are nervous about doing this yourself, take it to a computer tech for a good cleaning.
Foot pedals break easy. You're lucky they supply one. I have SIX different ones gathering dust.
