True story. My husband was the one who was drawing my blood for my marriage license. I was engaged to someone else, and back then you have to have your blood drawn before you got married. When I sat down, he said to me "are you sure you want to get married before you and I have a chance to get to know each other?" I cracked up and realized he was right - I needed to get to know him before I got married to somebody else. We have been married 24 years - 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
She said she just used the nick for the first time
and that she already works. Give a gal a break.

I heard this on a local radio station...something like 30-something% of women polled said they would not or had not married someone that they truly loved because of his last name, so my question is...would any of you NOT marry someone just because you didn't like his last name?
I, for one, don't think I would let that stop me from marrying someone I loved and really wanted to marry. However, I am already married and don't mind my honey's last name at all!

Okay, maybe he is blinded by love, blah blah blah, but why would she want to marry him if she loves another girl too? This is insane. You have got a real problem on your hands. Yes, it is his life, but when she is accusing you and your husband of these sort of cazy things - that is when it becomes your life and you need to get involved, not butt out! I know you love your son but you need to have a major heart to heart (alone). I would not subject myself to her in any way, shape or form. He can love her and marry her or whatever and you can still love your son and have a one on one relationship without being subject to this lunatic. She may need to be admitted somewhere!

time where we just have to let our children be who they want to be and live their own lives. I am sure he has thought about this so if it is a mistake, let him make it. It might not be and they might be very happy together. It could be worse and even had he chosen a man...my initial comment...it is still his choice. He is the one that has to live with them so just love your son and do not worry. Be there for him should he ever need you

He did not get to be 500 pounds overnight. Maybe if he got up to make his own breakfast and actually went to work, he wouldn't be 500 pounds. I hate to sound judgmental, but my first thought about someone that morbidly obese is that they have some severe mental issues. It is absolutely ridiculous that he is draining the system and you being on disability. I would get out and get out fast if I were you. I would not keep a bite of food in the house and I would refuse to drive him anywhere. YOU need to go on a "diet" and lose 500 pounds! I think you could probably do it overnight.

Quit before I got married. Fiance told me "no way would I marry a smoker," and I was smitten.
Marlboro Reds. I smoked all throughout high school and college before that. Was highly addicted. Had to go for a smoke break between classes.
It's been 10+ years since quitting. Cold turkey. Don't want it, don't want to smell it, won't eat at a restaurant that allows smoking. Fortunately (sorry smokers) in GA, all restaurants are smoke-free now. I like it that way. Can enjoy food better.
BUT, I have a completely different problem that is probably killing me - I'm addicted to sugar and carbs. Highly. Wake up craving it. 40+ pounds overweight. Hate every minute of it. No matter how hard I try, I absolutely cannot stop eating the "white, starchy" stuff. So, the cigarettes may not kill me now, but food might. Sad.

I just love it when someone "assumes" that they know who you are simply by the words you choose and how you lay them out. Just me? My big treat is watching tonight at 8:00 and it is the stupidest show on TV, reality-wise. Love to hate it.
My brother did this to my other (sm)
brother. One thing I will tell you is to go to the police department where the ticket was issued. That is the ONLY way I was ever able to clear any of them from my brother's record. My younger brother had gotten other tickets and used my older brother's name, but since he paid those the court told me "If your brother comes in and admits he did it we can take them off." Yeah, like that was going to happen! They didn't seem interested in the fact that my older brother had been working out of state during that time! From my days at the police department, I can also tell you that the cop probably put something on the ticket indicating that she did not have the actual license, but gave valid information.

and you know what I'd really suggest for your DH for long-term success with controlling his weight, in addition to having this surgery, is counseling.
This surgery seems to be a "quick fix" for the physical aspect of weight issues, but no one that I know has ever dealt with the emotional aspect of this problem.
My brother, for instance, says he can eat this and that but then ends up vomiting half of back out because it's a no-no on his intake with this surgery.
Oh, and to make sure he takes all of the supplements, vitamins, etc. I also know of another person who had this done, didn't follow the proper follow-up care in addition to taking supplements and vitamins and ran into a horrible host of problems after this surgery.
My brother went through this
They had a mediator settle everything. Their's was mutual too and they were happy with the outcome. They had to wait 18 months for the divorce to be final, but I suppose that depends on what state you are in.

I have all the updates but it intermittently does this. I turn it off, unplug from the computer and wall, then replug everything. Sometimes, even after this, I will have to restart my computer to reboot the printer. Then it will work. Such a pain!!!

Don't count on the fact that you are not being "watched" even at home. Many companies employ tracking systems embedded in software to track your time and will use it against an MT who breaks too much - does get email through the company and that sort of thing. You know that if your little fingers are not on the keyboard then you are not producing for them and OMG that is not a good thing!! ;-)

too many docs write a prescription without testing to make sure that a person has the diagnosis to support it. A good doctor will do the testing like you indicated to make sure a patient truly is ADD or ADHD prior to handing out medicine.
Question to the original poster: Are you under extra stress lately? If so, that's probably what is causing you to be scatter brained and learning how to handle stress will be more effective long-term than taking medications.

I totally share the enthusiasm expressed here about how the gals caught onto Chilltown's deceitful ways and just in the nick of time too! I guess Will was my least favorite. He was such a manipulator and did it so well.
Isn't it odd how quickly things cooled off between Erika and Boogie? I didn't see anything that really led up to it, but suddenly, she wasn't sleeping with him anymore and knew she had been played.
Did I miss something on the volcano game? Apparently there is some advantage to Boogie to bow out so early, but I don't get it. What's his strategy?

My brother and his girlfriend use it...
and are doing great on it, without any cravings or problems. They couldn't say enough about it. They are in their 50s and have smoked for quite some time, so for them to rave about it, I thought it was good. Good luck!
