A couple of weeks ago I purchased Dragon Speaking Pro with two medical dictionaries. I've been having severe neck and arm pain and it's harder than heck to type for more than two hours (my days are generally eight to nine hours). The doc thinks I have an HNP, but I'll find out for sure after my MRI this week. Anyway, I thought I'd try Dragon to see if I could get myself through this spell and still keep my clients without losing everything I've worked so hard to achieve over the years.
This program was $800 plus, and, honestly, it sucks. This program does recognize a lot of my "dictations" but can't get one sentence 100% correct. I have to go back and re-listen to EVERYTHING and make tons of changes. I don't know how in the world doctors are going to voice recognition if this is the quality it produces after two solid weeks of training!!
Anyone else here have experience with Dragon? And ave you been able to "train" the program to be more accurate? I purchased the expensive microphone suggested at Know-Brainer and still it's not any better than the cheap microphone that came with the product. Any tips for me?
