Don't you get it and even if they did they wouldn't know what they are reading anyway.  Furthermore, there is something called minimize!!! It's on your screen, check it out some time, it actually minimizes the screen so no one can read your important secret information. 

It amazes me how people can jump on here and just judge away and sit back and think they are just so above everyone else.  No one cares, get it?

I'm not an idiot.  I work for the paycheck and I know the MTSO's are in it for the money.  Yes, business is business, but let me tell you, I've had a boss like you, Minnie.  A boss that could care less about her employees personal situation or how it affects their job.  She didn't want to know anything about her employees except that they can do the job.  She wanted us to punch the timeclock and type 8 hours at full speed and to heck with everything else.  So what if one of us was a single mom trying to make ends meet.  So what if someone had a death in the family and was distracted.  So what if another had just gone through a divorce and was having a little trouble feeling motivated.  Who cares?  She didn't.

And not Minnie either, apparently.

That boss who didn't care about me, got the bare minimum out of me.  When work was out of TAT and she wanted people to volunteer for OT, do you think I volunteered?  When someone called in sick and she needed someone to cover the weekend, do you think I volunteered?

Now I have a boss who truly cares about me and all her employees at the hospital I currently work for.  We love her and she loves us.  She wants to know why we're having a bad day.  She sends us cards to make us feel better.  And when our production falls off, she is always understanding.  That does mean she is a push over.  She knows when someone is taking advantage and she is fully prepared to discipline if the occasion calls for it, but she knows who doesn't take advantage and is willing to give and to those of us she trusts, she extends to us her kindness, compassion, and understanding.

And do you know what?  All of us would do anything for her because she would do the same for us.  I work OT whenever she needs it.  I have changed my shift to working until midnight because she asked me to and needed the coverage while someone was off getting surgery.  In turn, when my step-nephew was killed in a car accident, even though he wasn't a blood relative and didn't technically qualify for me to take bereavement leave, she let me take it anyway because I needed to help my sister and brother-in-law (it was his son).  And when my daughter has a field trip, she lets me flex my hours so I can go.  And when it was basketball season with my son, again I was able to flex my hours so I could make all of his games. 

Do you see where I'm going with this?

People should care about other people.  We should care that someone is a single mom and is struggling and we should offer our support and help if we can.  And the MTSO's should care about their people.  Happy people work harder.  If you show your people you care about them, they will work harder for you because they want to and they appreciate you.

Minnie, if I worked with you or for you... well I wouldn't work for you long, let's just say that. 

I think you belong on the "other" board.  They love to look/talk down to people there.

How can they have "English typing skills" but not need to know how to speak English?  How can they understand it if they can't speak it?  Mind boggling.  And how do they get away with it?  Because it's cheap and JACHO doesn't care nor does the organization formerly known as AAMT (new title without "American" and "Transcriptionist").
