I just received my pc and extras from Diskriter yesterday, after a lengthy wait, really ready to get going; however, they also sent a complex Chartscript book and I've never used this platform before.  Anyone have any quick notes they can share or can you let me know if it is difficult to learn.  Thank you in advance.

I only want to be paid once a month from every office, less paperwork.  I submit a statement (not to be paid) with every job returned during the week(s) and bill out those statements once monthly the very last day of the month.  I have NEVER been paid late by any office, and I get paid within 15 days of the monthly bill submitted.  And if I were to be paid late and I wanted to keep the account(s), I would NOT charge them a late fee.  Stuff happens.  (I remember one office being late due to the fact the office was ROBBED of a lot of $$.)

it is error-free, it just might mean it didn't get caught.  I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, realizing that I typed the wrong word in a report, but it passed spellcheck and I may or may not have proofed it, but it also passes QA and the hospital, even though I know it is not correct.  

Hello!  I gave them 2 weeks worth of work, and they did not send out the checks on time.  I got my check 1-1/2 weeks late - and then only because I complained until they sent it via UPS.  I can't work for free, or afford to get paid late, so I quit.  I would test for ProScript if they are hiring currently - they are a GREAT company to work for : )

Can anyone tell me about Diskriter?  I'm considering applying with them.  I have 20+ years experience as a MT and looking for a company that has a Transcriptionist friendly working platform and great pay.  Getting a little tired of working extra hours just to make a decent paycheck due to lack of work and a poor transcribing platform.  Thanks !!

Hello! This is my first time to post here on MTstars. I have accepted a position with Diskriter and should be receiving my equipment next week. I just found out about MTstars and I wish I would have found it before. I am currently employed elsewhere right now and need to make more money. I feel like I am typing my fingers to the bone for 8 hours or longer and at the end of my shift only end up with 750 lines, when I need at least 1500 lines per shift or more. I have been transcribing for about 3 years and the first job I had, I could hit 1500 lines, no problem,  during my shift. The problem with my current job is that we run out of work (but get paid for standby). I love my insurance and need to keep it. I plan on working both jobs and have absolutley no idea if I will be able to keep up with my family and their activities. I am strongwilled and determined to make money in this business. Not to ramble on......

I have never been asked when applying for a service.  If the question is not asked, then there must not be a prohibition on felons.

so who exactly is getting cheated?  And just who are you talking about when you talk about whether it is "fair" or not.  I don't give a crap how much taxes my neighbor pays.  It's none of my business.  And if I found out they were paying less in taxes than me, I would ask them how they heck are they doing it so I can do it too!

I just want ask, is it necessary to get personal and insult?  You disagree with me, fine.  But I've been called a liar, a cheat, a no-ingetrity thief, my intelligence has been insulted, and I have had my parenting skills questioned.  That is a little over the top.  If you cannot debate an issue without resulting to personal attacks, then YOU are the stunted one!

It is a very good thing that some of you work at home, ALONE!  You are sorely lacking in people skills and diplomacy.  Let me guess, when you worked in the office you were one of those girls who didn't like to share her desk, griped if someone dropped a crumb on your desk, and kept track of everyone's breaks, lunches, and line counts just so you could tattle to the supervisor!  I've worked women like you, it was like working with kindergarteners.  That's why I came home to work.  Do us all a favor, looking in the mirror, count your wrinkles, and realize that this isn't high school anymore!

ESLs are no big deal to me.  I am working right now but I have been running out of work every day now for over two months.  Time to consider a change. 

I have checked the archives but nothing more recent than November 2005 is coming up.

I claim married status, one dependent. I'm paid semi-monthly. I make certain to double the SS tax at the bottom of the page.

My taxes are between 22% and 25% of my gross earnings, depending upon what the gross pay is. Never had a problem with the IRS yet.

So, if 40% of your gross earnings goes for taxes ... something is WRONG!!!!
