Disenchanted

Wondering if any others have had better responses from their elected government officials when expressing their uneasiness and displeasure about the current state of affairs with job losses and income. I emailed the President (no acknowledgement). I wrote letters to our State Governor and Senator (no acknowledgments) and also a letter to our State representative (who responded that I was much better off than thousands because I did have a job, so basically I had nothing to complain about). It seemed he missed the point entirely as I was expressing concern about job losses and pay cuts throughout our State and not only about my own situation. I am grateful to have a job in these difficult times, but that does not make that job secure, fair, or not potentially on the chopping block. As no one in elected government seems to care, I have decided to renew and accelerate my prayers to God on behalf of this country and our hard-working citizens. It seems to me that He is the only one who is listening and responding these days. And if I have the opportunity to vote in another election, I intend to cast my ballot against each and every person currently in office and to repeat that process for as long as I continue to vote until something changes for the better.

You are very lucky, and I am glad for you. I have become totally disenchanted.
I used to love medical transcription. I used to make a very good living and loved work. Now I am just a number, an independent contractor who they can not pay on time or for the correct amount if I even get paid. I was displaced when my account went EMR, and after several horrible jobs, I am about to give up. My pay does not even cover my overhead or medical bills from all the damage I have done to my body working too many hours. I am truly glad for you! What company do you work for?
