Highlight the word or characters you want to put in Autocorrect, exactly the way you want them, then open Autocorrect and click on formatted text, then add your shortcut.
That should work....

Click on tools, AutoCorrect, and click on tab that says

If it's installed, click or F10 to open it, click on...sm
the little white piece of paper icon to bring up the window where you ADD your new entries to, type your abbreviation in the Keyword box, then drop down to the Text to Type box and put in what you need it to say, then click Okay. You're done! If you want to delete your entry, arrow down to it, then click on the Trash Can icon. It'll ask if you want to put it on the clipboard, say yes and hit okay. If you want to modify it, use the little hand on the piece of paper icon. I like to click on the Disk icon to save stuff once I enter it, too, as a backup. If you're working and want to enter a paragraph or a page, you'll hightlight your stuff, bring up the ADD window, copy and paste it into the Text to Type area using the commands on the bottom of that box, name it, and hit okay. To use hot keys and stuff, you'll have to read the instructions in the help file. Good luck! ..nm
structured text from free text...
eventually just templates filled in. being that I am near 50, I will probably be okay, but I feel bad for all the younger MTs just now in school. according to this article, we will all have to be willing to learn the new ways.

You have to click . . .(sm)
on the "eye" and then the foot pedal tab. Then you can input 2 or 3. But it will not take effect until to download the next job.
Click on history
It states that in Nov. 2004 Warburg Pincus and Soros Private Equity Partners acquired Spheris. It is right on their history page.
I use GearPlayer and when I click (sm)
"start," "programs" and find "GearPlayer", when I highlight Gearplayer I'm given the option of "tools" and then I can test my footpedal. Just wondering if perhaps your footpedal will be controlled by whatever program you are using to run it? Try checking under your programs listed and see if there are any options there. Or try rebooting your computer, maybe and see if that resets something??? I hope these suggestions help you!!
Right click on your desktop (sm)
and select Arrange Icons and uncheck Auto Arrange.

This one seems to only do the mouse click
part, and doesn't let you move the mouse. It says you can use one pedal for the mouse click, one instead of the ALT key, and one for the CTRL key. So you would still have to take your hand off the keyboard to move the darned mouse. At least that's the way I read it.
Usually you click on their name and e-mail SM
box will open up. You fill it out and click send. You won't know what the e-mail address is as MTStars keeps is confidential....so it might behoove you to use an anonymous e-mail of your own if you have one.
Hope this helps!

You have to right click the file and
save it to your computer. Then open express scribe and load the files from wherever you saved them.
When you click on the C: drive,
'Documents and Settings'? That is the folder that I would double click on in the C: drive folder, and then 'Owner'. My 'My Documents' folder is inside the 'Owner' folder.
Did you try with a right mouse click instead
xx
I don't think it works that way. Usually you right click and tell it
what directory to save to. Once it saves the file then you open it and do the test. This is the way I've tested several times. If you are testing using and MTTest test this is the way it is done.
If you click on "posted by", you get a -
"send an email" form that pops up, where you have to put YOUR email info, but it doesn't disclose theirs.
Still.... I'm always wary!
In your post click on the FTP
and it will give you a definition of an FTP. Any words underlined and in purple in your posts if you click them, a definition appears. This may help explain it. Also, you can look under Wikipedia if you Google FTP.

You can't just right click on the file itself?
That's what I understood you could do. Again, I don't have any dss files to try it on, so I'm shooting in the dark. Sorry about that.
Click on View and ..... sm
see if Thumbnail view is selected. If so, just click on it again and the "print preview/thumbnail view" will disappear.
WIth mine, all I have to do is click in the
box where the actual word is and type over it, then click change.
WE, the MTs, do not do EMR, EMR is point and click
done by doctors or nurses.
If the doctor of your son is 'typing' into her computer, she is probably doing her own MTing.
How can people be pro or con EMR if they do not even know how and what it is doing and by whom (not who!)
Some people, even MTs think that VR equals EMR, it does NOT.
it works, just click on it.........nm

What did you click so that you received the
copy of the test? If you clcked the 'send' button and afterwards you received the completed copy of your test unedited) what's the problem, as your test was already gone. How could you have cheated if your test was already sent?
They immediately sent you a copy of your submitted test, unedited. for your files, as one cannot save testfiles.
I do not understand where your problem is?
Just wait for their response and I hope you get hired!
P.S. You should be able to just double click on the header.

You will see two articles posted that Spheris has hired another 300 Indian workers with plans for 700 more in southern India. They outsource big-time. I checked with them 6 months ago and told them no thanks.
Did you by accident hit/click the Pay button twice? That will do that if you are not

Right click on "start" at the bottom right of
your screen. Then right click on "explore." Look for "program files" and in that folder you should find the "Shorthand for Windows" folder. Simply right click on that folder and send it to your backup location. You can do this with anything you'd like to back up.
hth!
In the settings, click the Incoming tab...
and then you can select file(s) for Express Scribe to scan. Then it will scan those and will load files automatically.
Just randomly click on the posts one right sm
after another. It may take anywhere from 5 to 30 clicks but you will definitely hear it. It's a cute noise, sounds like wow or woo.
It's very simple...you click on File, then...
Import and Export. You just follow the instructions from there. I think there are maybe 2-3 steps, and that's it! I export mine to a CD. Then you just reverse the process by using import to get them to your new computer.
Right click My Computer....should be under general tab. nm

sometimes I have to click "Back" 5 or 6 times
depending on the number of related messages I have read. The Back button will eventually take me there, I just wondered if I was missing a function where, when I'm done with the thread, I can click once to go back to the original point where the thread started on the main page. Is this something the Moderator knows an answer to or would consider a suggestion?
If you have Windows XP Pro, you could click Start...
Set Program Access and Defaults, and make sure the email you want is listed as the default email.
You can also do it by going to Control Panel...Add Remove Programs, look to the left hand side and you'll see "Set Program Access and Defaults."
Hope this helps.
