I think I understand. If I have an unlimited LD plan, then I won't have to re-record, correct? I can simply transcribe from the C-phone. It's been a while since I've used a C-phone, but from what I can remember it had standard operating controls.

Thank you. I'm trying to decide whether to accept a job and don't want to be spending a lot of time re-recording. I've never had to re-record but over the years have read where it was time consuming.

sending your mom some flowers and saying you love her and are sorry but you are just dont feel comfortable and hope someday you can talk about it with her. I feel bad for you and I don't know what your relationship with her is, but reach out to her with love whenever you get a chance to no matter how she reacts to you in turn. Who knows, someday she might see the light. But I've found that you really can never tell someone the truth about someone they love without getting in trouble. THey don't want to hear it and won't hear it and it'll only make more distance between you.

TV on for me. I can't do music though. Its usually the food channel or the news channel. Volume is where I can hear it but low.

whats the name of this book?

I am looking for this reference book that I used to use as an in-house Transcriptionist many mooons ago. I can't remember what it was but it wasn't Stedmans... I was thinking Drake, Tessier, or even HPI but I know it wasn't Stedmans.

Anyway, it would allow you to look up the word "needle" and then underneath have a huge listing of all of the different types... or you could look up "retractor" and it would list all the different kinds. It was INCREDIBLY thorough. I want to say it had a green cover but can't be positive.

Does anyone have any ideas? This book was so helpful in-house, I really want it to have at home too! Thanks!!

is when there is a group e-mail about proofing work and the specific e-mail about proofing had 2 spelling errors....and the e-mail is a total of 3-4 sentences.

I don't care if they aren't typists..they certainly get paid more than me and should be way more professional. I certainly wouldn't get a job as anything if I sent a resume like that. They are supposed to set an example.. they are our *bosses*.

they got caught? That is one thing wrong with this industry. It has turned into "production"only, nobody cares about quality and they want to screw you out of money. If her skills are good they know it and they will need them. If this gives her "bargaining" power and she wants to go back, so be it. It would be hard for me, but if I wanted and needed the job I would suck it up and go back. They aren't going to do this crap again. If everyone would turn these people in, then this junk would stop. I take great delight in the fact that places are finally getting caught for cheating people. They should.
