Doctors Cursing

I've had plenty of doctors curse during their dictations. The first time I had to ask whether to transcribe it or not - the answer was no - I have taken it to be no from that point on unless it is a direct quote from a patient - which happens a lot if you transcribe psychiatry - anything goes there.

Cursing in dictation
okay, from one extreme to the other, I work on an account that Ive had for years and I had a doctor say the F word in his dictation. Stunned, to say the least, I typed everything but the offending word and blanked it, sent it to the doctor for 'clarification', hoping he would have the opportunity to have cooled down or whatever and either re-dictate, or write in whatever he wanted..... is this how the general populous of MTs would have handled this? I dont say the F word, let alone type it! :)

cursing towards the patient

he was cursing towards the patient, something to the effect of "this 23-year old white female, gravida 6, para 2, ab 4 is F____ pregnant again". Also, I have had the same doctor call a patient a 'fat hog' before too..... so this is not something Ive not heard before from him. if it was cursing at the computer or something like that, i wouldn't even question it.......

you sound rather upset and cursing really shows you are at your wit's end.
i think you are losing it dear poster because you can't make a valid argument and in reality you know you are wrong. technology and 2005 is catching up with you and you are left in the dust cursing the new world. you won't survive it.
