right. Thanks for speaking out about this. Who hires those who have not even an 6th grade command of the language? Maybe they whack out stacks of work (although of very poor quality) and that was the draw for humans resources? Have you noticed that half (at least) of human resources persons also have no command? Hell, I think half of all the population has no command. Does anyone besides us care? Scarier even, do they notice? I don't want them to think I am a snob - I'm not, I just don't want to be lumped together with a group of MTs who don't care enough to learn, for one thing. If they want to learn, there are excellent resources out there. They have must have computers because they are posting here. They should immediately Google for grammar, usage and spelling and get with the program. My daughter cared and she did that. She is a high school graduate with good grades, one semeester of college,, but it seems her generation (she is 30) were not taught the basics. One of her English teachers focused all year on movie genre. Too bad. So sad. She said it was funs while it was happening, but after graduation she found she could not compete in this area, even though she is extremely intelligent. She decided that she would change that because she wanted to work in transcription. It only took her about a month or two after she decided she needed to know how to form intelligent sentences, use proper grammar and spell correctly to learn what her teachers should have taught her and put it to work every day. Not bad. She now transcribes acute care and make very few mistakes. So, the point of all this rant is that if you want to do it right, you can. I hope is that if this applies you that you do something about it so that Crabby and I will be proud to be lumped together with you and we all keep our jobs and get some well-deserved respect for our chosen profession.
