Chartscript and Instant Text??
Does anyone use this combination - can you tell me how you do it - having problems linking - Thanks
ChartScript/Instant Text
Hi everyone. I am relatively new to both CS and IT. CS for about three weeks and IT for about 2 days. I'm trying to follow the manual but I am confused. I have linked CS to IT, but when I start typing in CS, the IT screen disappears, how do I fix this? Sorry I know this must be so basic, but obivously I've missed a step. Thanks for any help.
Rita
ChartScript/Instant Text
maybe I'm not linked correctly. but it seems to work when I am just in word. anyone please????
ChartScript/Instant Text
yes, I checked that box to link automatically. it works if I am in word but in CS it disappears from the screen. I hate this kind of stuff. :) thanks for you help.
ChartScript/Instant Text - actually
I don't think the auto link is working correctly. If I open up word I still have to open IT separately, but once I open it up the windows stays on the screen while I type.
Instant text/Chartscript.NET
I have seen several posts on this but have not seen a definitive answer as to whether or not IT will work with Chartscript.NET (not .com).
Instant Text with Chartscript
When I first started working with Chartscript, my Instant Text wouldn't work right, and I was freaking out. I googled and googled Instant Text/Chartscript compatibility and found something that worked for me. I would open up the job in Chartscript, type the entire report in my own Word, then cut and past the report into the Chartscript system. Several other people I worked with did the same thing, and it was the only way I could work in Chartscript and still use my Instant Text (which I don't think I could ever work without!). Hopefully, this will help you.
Chartscript.net and Instant Text
There are, indeed, different Chartscript platforms, and Instant Text has always worked fine with Chartscript.
However, with Chartscript.net even though IT links to it, the advisories don't seem to stay visible which is, of course, unacceptable. We hope to solve this problem with 3M very soon.

Chartscript.net and Instant Text
Has anyone found out if the Instant Text advisories still minimize when using it with the new version of Chartscript.net? I asked someone from tech support support on the IT forum, and they have not yet heard back from 3M as to whether it's working with the newest version. The message I got said that there might be a way to make it work by selecting "Instant Text always on top". Has anyone tried this?
Is the ChartScript platform compatible with Instant Text? nm

FINALLY, an answer regarding Chartscript.net and Instant Text!
Finally!, someone who actually knows what they are talking about and can give me a real answer!!! Here is the response I received from Textware, after Sylvan Software told me it would work and the IT for my company told me to ask my lead (who didn't know either as I had already asked)..............................................
"Instant Text works with ChartScript.net. However there is an important issue we have to solve as Instant Text is minimizing when you are in the ChartScript.net transcription window.
Not having the visual feedback is not acceptable. We are in the process to find out how we can solve the problem with the cooperation of 3M. Hopefully 3M will find the time to do some testing and get back to us.
As soon as we have a solution, we will post it on our Instant Text Forum."
Kindest regards,
Marianne

Instant Text ?
All you have to do is add VENTILATION PERFUSION SCAN to the glossary. Type it in your document the way you want all caps with a colon or not, etc. and highlight it and press Alt and the +/= sign at the same time to add it to the glossary and then the next time you want it type vps but look at the list and pick the one you want all caps or lower case. You can always delete the lower case version if you do not need it. Let me know if you need more info. Good Luck
Instant Text V Pro
I can give you some info on Instant Text V Pro if you'd like.
The most popular features of IT V Pro include the Importer, the Compilation feature, the Includes feature and Continuations.
The Importer takes abbreviation lists from other sources, such as AutoCorrect, and imports them into IT so you can continue using them without having to start creating a new list from scratch.
The Compilation feature is used to create personalized glossaries by scanning saved documents on your computer and pulling out the most frequently used phrases and words to instantly compile a customized glossary in seconds.
The Includes feature allows you to use more than one glossary at a time.
And the Continuations feature is a feature that brings up what you are likely to type next in your sentence. So for example, if you were to type "The patient", IT will then suggest what you are likely to type next based on what you've typed in the past.
