Love 'em or leave 'em
I don't have a real solution, but I have been known to log off of that account whenever I see this happen.  I then try to find work on one of the other accounts to which I am assigned, but there is often no other work available.  I conclude that the only choice is love 'em or leave 'em.  A private client might be nice, but that brings other headaches.
Not MT specific, but try half.com. I buy all kinds of books from there all the time. nm

My Sted's Ortho & Rehab Words book is the most worn out. Love it! nm

I love 'em too. I can dream, can't I?

You gotta love 'em
I had a CNP who prounced epistaxis without the "s" - epeetaxis.  I won't even tell you what she did with some drug names.  The really fun one was when she stumbled three times over cerumen, never did pronounce it correctly and then spelled it for me.
Newbies, you gotta love 'em
That bubble will soon burst! I don't make 16 cents per line, and I have 10 years of experience in all specialties, acute care, ER, clinic...Ah, to remember the newbie days...I had that "go get'em" attitude. I miss those carefree days.
I use round glass lids from old Corningware and other glassware for all my pots. Find 'em at yard
s
I love 'em too but type everything else but and Progress notes (sm)
DOUBLE YUCK.
I have 2 clinics still on tapes, love'em! Also work for a national. Like that too. nm

Thank you, could not find it in any of my word books or Google

You can find lots of music
on Youtube. Just type in the artist, group, or song name into the video search. You can save a bunch and can click to have your whole file play or just pick and choose one at a time.
Keep in mind you will find lots of negativity here
Take it all as a whole. Don't put too much stock into just a few negative people.  I've gotta tell you, there are a lot of bitter people here.  Sure, I understand that MT wages have gone down over the years, according to the long-timers.  However, I quit a very good paying job 5 years ago as a government employee to stay at home with my daughter.  After about a year, I decided to pursue MT, researched all over the place, and eventually started the Andrews School course.  About 3 months after starting the course, I replied to an ad for a student to do SOAP notes. I got the job, and long story short, I never did finish the course because I've been too busy working the last 4 or so years.  I now make about $22-$25 an hour.  If I have really quiet, uninterrupted time, I can make more than that. I work as both an employee and as an IC.  I'm a team leader and an account manager.  If I was only making $10/hour after 3 or 4 years, I'd consider switching fields because that's just not good, but if you have the right combination of skills, i.e. excellent grammar, fast typist, good researcher, good memory, ability to roll with the punches, then it may be an option for you.  I guess my point is, the MTs at this particular site can be very negative, so look around before you just say forget it.  The old "I could make more working at Walmart" argument is one of their favorites.
No midnight parties here, but love the books!

I've only seen the first one at the movies, but I'm not much of a movie or TV person.  More of a reader. Can't wait to get the book to add to the collection.  Started the collection with my son who has lost interest at 15.  He looks like Harry though.  He went to the playground one day when he was 12 (dark hair, little round glasses) and all of the little kids were screaming, "It's Harry Potter!  It's Harry Potter!" and running after him.  He said, "MOM, IT WAS AWFUL!"  He now has contact lenses and he put his magic wand away.

If you so a search on this board you'll find lots of info.

Basically, you've got it right. However, voice files can be large and email may reject large file attachments. Also, there's the security aspect that you didn't mention. Basically, the voice file and finished document need to be encrypted to be secure.

You said you don't have the time/didn't take the time to do the research. Lots of people have and have shared their findings time and again on this board. I, for one, am not willing to reinvent the wheel every time someone is looking for this information but doesn't want to take the time to do the legwork. No offense meant but please do take the time to educate yourself. If you really don't have the time or don't want to take that time, then be prepared to pay for that information in the form of a consultant.

LOL! You calls 'em as you sees 'em, girl!

I'll bring the dip and the half and half ;)

FYI I HAVE reference books, but in case you hadn't noticed, thing change a lot faster than BOOKS
I was simply asking for suggestions of other places on line that I might look for the latest info, especially considering that my work is on the internet, what the hell is wrong with trying to be more productive and efficient?!?! Good Grief!!
I prefer books. I'm kinda old school. I like to be able to write new terms in my books. I do

have Stedman's Medical Dictationary on CD and I do use it quite a bit, but that's more because the actual print dictionary is so darn heavy to pick up and look a word up!

Amen to that. Find the love in your heart for her. Whatever she does,

I love my Goldtouch -- can usually find them reasonably priced on eBay. nm

I'll never forget my first day of college when the instructor wrote on the chalkboard -- panhysterosalpingooophorectomy and said "You will know what this means by the end of the day!"  This is an easy one for us now, but back then it was like "Yeah, right."  This is one of my husband's favorite words to throw at people at parties, etc. -- and he even knows the correct meaning of the term!!  I hate when people say stuff like "Where can I find a job like yours, typing at home, I could do that no problem."  They think that if they can type, they can do our jobs.  I'd like to see 'em try.....heeheehee
