CPSI

I work in CPSI and have mixed feelings. It is a Word based platform so therefore if you use autocorrect it will work with the program. however, you can't add entries in the program itself as it will change your normal. Have to add them in your own Word. All the usual Expanders will work with it as well.
In my ever so humble opinion, it is cumbersome and antiquated. You have to enter a lot of info and look ups for patients are a bear if the correct number is not provided. I am not a huge fan, but it is certainly not the WORST platform I have ever used. It beats out Meditech hands down, but sucks next to ChartScript that I also work in and love! HTH!

I work in CPSI also. I also liked Chartscript much better. The one thing I dont like about CPSI is that they dont allow you to go between reports such as Discharge summarys and H&Ps. We have a couple of doctors that tell us to take the diagnoses off the discharge summary and put on a swingbed H&P or take a diagnosis of the H&P and put on the discharge summary. This makes have to go completely out of the report we are in, pull up the new report, copy and then go back out and bring up the other and paste.
With Chartscript and I know of other ones you just have to bring up the reports within each other and copy and paste right there. A lot less hassle.
Once you figure out CPSI you can do it, it is just cumbersome.
platform called CPSI
Has anybody ever worked in this program? It is easy to learn? Is is MT-friendly? Is it Word-based? Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
CPSI platform and SmarType
Does anyone use CPSI and know if Smartype will work with it? Thanks
