You know, whatever your feelings are about AAMT, there's no reason to put someone down for what they are able to accomplish with a credential. I suspect many are indeed worried that some of that lobbying effort might require a credential for practice and then what? From what I've seen, passing that test would be difficult at best for some MTs. And frankly if offshore MTs are able to pass the test, then why not? All of the hoopla that speaks about offshore not being secure is just that, hoopla. Clearly the government has agreed with that point or it would be against the law and yet they have consistently said it isn't.
