CMT Pay

Not sure where you are working, but my employer pays a 12% differential for the CMT, at $0.01 per line. If I do 1500 lines/day, that's an additional $15/day, or $75/week. That gives me a whopping $3,750 extra in my check per year. My CMT cost me $195, which was reimbursed completely when I passed the test. The investment in dues is $135 (which isn't even required to have the CMT). The cost of two symposia/year comes to at most $300 and the CMT recertification fee is $15/year. Now, how is it that your math tells you that doesn't pay for itself? By my calculations, I spent $450 in a year and YET I get an additional $3,750 in income? In my math books that still comes out to an extra $3,300 in income!
