Should we wait until we are so fed up before we look for greener grass? Believe me, I've been so fed up in the past I get sick over it and tell myself, "I'm not taking this junk anymore!!!" It reaks havoc on my personal life and family life.
Another poster wrote perhaps it's because we felt we failed and were not good enough. I've often thought that way myself, but I KNOW that if a doctor dictates in a reasonable fashion, I'll get the transcript accurate, and I also realize that if I have an OM or medical records director who's constantly out to lunch, my boat is sunk no matter what I do or don't do because SHE's there and I'm way over here - four states away and sometimes cross the country. She can personally defend herself and make excuses in a one-on-one, flesh-and-bones type of way. Me? I'm just an unknown inhuman entity who produces patients' transcripts that miraculously appear on a daily basis over the Internet - just a voice on the phone, a name and address signed off at the end of the monthly invoice - that kinda' thing.
Know what I mean??
