however there are different systems as to how to save your abbreviations. I use "fu" for followup, "tp" the patient, "awa" as well as, depends on the phrase, some I just use the first letter only, others the first two, like "rhar" rheumatoid arthritis. When I first got Stedmans, I think it said to use an "e" for expand, so"rhare" which I found silly, others say use an "x" so when I have the same abbreviation that means different things I use X or e, or xx, etc. you get the idea. My list pops up and I pick the one I want. I make up templates too for a few of my doctors that say the same thing each time and adjust it as needed, and use jump brackets too, saves a ton of time and I get paid for every character regardless of if I typed it then or not.
