I didn't take that as belittling... I take as either take the good with the bad or move on. It's that simple. No hospital job is going to appreciate or respect you. That comes from within.
Yes, I do work for myself and that is my choice. I love my job and I make great money. Will I sit and around and wait for work or wait for someone to hold my hand? NEVER! I take matters into my own hands.
OP YOU ROCK! You've said what I've been wanting to say 4-ever and you put it very well!
There are no room for whiners in this field. It's tough and you've got to be tough. What's the saying? If you can't hang with the big dogs, then get off of the porch!
