My husband, a musician, is out of sorts today because he knows that it's John's birthday. He went to the piano and played "Imagine" as he does every year on John's birthday and also on the anniversary of John's death and he has tears.
At first I thought my hubby was tad overboard, but now I understand. John was a peaceful person. What happened to him was beyond words.
My hubby lights a candle every year on the anniversary of John's death as well.
Without trying to sound like a total weirdo, we wear matching wedding rings that are engraved with the word "imagine." Our son's name is John. He is 15 and he plays guitar. He has a poster in his room that says: "Where words fail, music speaks."
Happy 65th to John Lennon. May he continue to rest in peace.
