Don't worry about your husband filing first as that just saves you filing fees.  Anyway in a very nice way, write down all the concerns you have, dates of talking to the attorney, etc. in a letter to him.  Tell him that you would hate to go to the state bar association to file a grievance but you will do so unless these things are taken care of immediately at no extra charge to you.   You have to be your best advocate.  If you suffere consequences of his not filing, etc. the bar will award you damages.   Tell him you hate to do this but this is your only recourse if he does not follow through on things.   But at first be nice.   I had to do this throughout my divorce as I was dealing with several different attorneys and my ex went through three attorneys because he could not find one that satisfied him.  But once I threatened filing with the State Bar -- they could not act fast enough to help me out.  But I was nice and did not use profanity or anything but they did know I was upset.   Good luck.
