Be persistent! The doc is probably not expediting her next appointment

because your mom may not be physically symptomatic. If it were me, I would call to talk to the doctor personally (not his/her nurse or assistant) and maybe he can give her some reassurance that everything is OK. Good luck.

Persistent sadness.
Aack, don't forget to get your thyroid checked when you go into the doc's office for those antidepressants! You might be hypothyroid.
You have to be persistent. Don't give up...sm
I too was running out of work. I worked full-time for three different companies in the last five years and none could give me consistent work. I now have three part-time IC positions and have never run out of work. Look everywhere you can for a job and send resumes to them all. Eventually you will hear back. Don't forget the newspapers and internet. This isn't the only place to find a job, although I did get one of mine from here.
Good luck and don't give up. I bet I sent out 30+ resumes a couple years ago when I was looking and maybe had four responses.
that's just rumors, as persistent as they are unfounded
You can go out anytime you want. You do have to wear the abiyya (the black cloak, very thin, go find it in silk!) to cover your clothes, it's a matter of modesty. Non-Muslim women don't have to cover their hair, but the Embassy tells you to carry a scarf with you in your purse, just in case. The hospital sent two buses out every evening to various destinations: Safeway and Pizza Hut, or the open-air bazaar, or the enclosed mall with red carpet, a/c, fountains, escalators and chandeliers, or to the open air fruit/vegetable market. There are amusement parks that are separated into men's side and women's side, complete with log flume. The zoo has women's days. The restaurants are divided into men's and family section, and usually the family sections are MUCH nicer, with mashrabiyya screens for privacy, your own waiter, etc. There are taxi's all over (called limos), that you can call from the hospital to take you anywhere you want to go, or you can catch them on the street of course. Far from, being hostile, the Arab women are very friendly, they are very curious about us. The slightest show of friendship on your side willl go a long way. You'll meet lots of American and British employees at the hospital, of course, but sad to say, most of them go on the shopping buses, but otherwise sit home and complain about how there's no freedom and they can't do anything. Make yourself some Arab friends (female) and you'll be out every night partying!!! Non-alcoholic, of course :)
I asked my doc at my last appointment...
and she said she had no idea who did their transcription! She said that it's all digital and she's not sure who actually does the typing, just that there is no one in their office to do it. I was quite shocked that she was so clueless as she's such a great doctor. My husband is in the military so we're pretty limited on what docs we can see for now, otherwise I would be much pickier.
It already HAS - the doc spends the whole appointment
I could come in decapitated and carrying my head, and they'd probably never notice until I told them what the problem was.........
So, I had a doctor's appointment today... sm
Thursday during the day, I felt a quick, sharp pain in my left breast. Later that night when I was getting ready to get a shower, I noticed a spot on my bra about nipple level about the size of a lady bug. Naturally, I panicked a bit. At the doctor today, upon "expressing" a bit for her, she did a Hemoccult test, which turned out to be positive. She thinks it is probably just an infection, which I am glad to hear, and says it could even be remnants of the cystitis I had when I was nursing my daughter - 16 years ago !?!? Anyway, at the checkout desk, the nice lady making my appointment to get my mammies grammed said she had the same thing and called it a papilloma in a milk duct and it cleared up on its own eventually, which finally brings me to the point of my post. When I typed papilloma into WebMD to do a little research, I only came up with references to HPV. Was she confused with her terminology? Anyone have anything like this before. I have calmed down since Thursday because the doctor didn't find any lumps. Now, just looking for a little information. TIA!
Did that. Was told not allowed unless I had an appointment. sm
They don't like that where I live. I guess because they get enough interruptions from sales reps. Had negative experience doing that. Thanks, though.
I made an appointment with an oral surgeon and he
You have to start at the very bottom and be as conservative as you can. A dentist can take x-rays and fit you with an appliance. I went and found out whats causing my jaw pain and on the x-ray my bones overlap. I was thinking I needed surgery, but we are going with pain management. Since i've had the appliance, no pain, that was a week ago. Very rarely will you need surgery, everyone's jaw "clicks" but if you are a night grinder, this makes it an even playing field for your teeth so they're not fighting against the jaw to become "even" if that makes sense. Good luck.
I would call and make an appointment to speak with
the clinic manager or with whomever you correspond concerning your transcription agreement and discuss the situation with him/her personally.
Before arranging this meeting, I encourage you to contact another professional MT (hopefully someone you know and trust) to find out if he/she would be interested in this account, and, if so, you could recommend their services for your client.
After the meeting, I would follow up with a letter thanking them for allowing you to be a part of their team for so many years.
Lucky thing for me my MD is in the office tomorrow morning, so I made an appointment for tomorrow.
If it is strep, I'll have her give me a shot of penicillin. That's what I usually do for strep. My stomach can't hardly handle taking antibiotics. I end up with vomiting and diarrhea which makes me feel even worse!
Thing is, I work for a hospital and we already have one girl off indefinitely for medical reasons. A couple of ladies didn't log on until late today because we had thunderstorms in the area. And we are way, WAY out of TAT for OPs and Discharges. So, I feel kind of bad taking a sick day. My supervisor is so stressed. She's been begging us to work OT for the last couple of weeks. How can I call her and tell her I'm sick?
I'm halfway through my shift anyway. I'll be all right. The Motrin is really helping and then I can take it easy all weekend.
Thanks for listening.
