Do you think it is beautiful to have rolls of blubber hanging out your

shirt, over your ankles, and walking like you have two 40 inch diameter poles poking out at a wierd oblique angle from your fat butt that you try to walk on?  Most fat people are really nasty as well as ugly.

It it any meaner to walk up to a skinny person and tell them how skinny they are than to walk up to a lard bard and tell them they are fat??

They are in the roll section ( I have seen them with the bakery rolls too)
nm
stuftfed cabbage rolls, cornbread cake and

Sausage/potato casserole

Oh, all bad carbs except for sausage. Where's the green veggies?

stuffed zucchini with hamburger/sausage
mixture, including one egg per pound of meat, onion, seasonings.  Remove seeds from zucchini, stuff with meat mixture, and pour over spaghetti sauce, top with cheese and bake  Delicious! Of course, you can vary this to suit your taste buds!
smoked picnic
Just clean it and pop it in the crock pot--no extra water added or anything. Cook on low 10 to 12 hours or on high 5 to 6 hours. So yummy.
Hey we did that last night! Belgian waffles & sausage links (nm)

I've never tried it with sausage...I'll have to give it a shot!

Can you tell me how long you have smoked? Your age possibly?
I am about to quit. Have stopped and started throughout my life. Quitting for a year a few times, for five years once (until I married a smoker). The recovery is wonderful, I recall. Food tastes so much better. And, there is the freedom of not having to have cigs, lighter and an ash tray with you at all times. And yes, you feel better (no one realized how ill one feels while smoking until they quit). This time, I am going to carry nicotine patches with me when I get the urge for nicotine which, I recall, strikes with a vengence when stressful situations arise.

Congratulations, my friend. I like the part where you can run a mile (I just joined a gym yesterday). I know life will be better all the way around. Not to mention the savings $-wise.

Stay focused. We must remember that the end result of cigs is possible lung CA, undoubtedly emphysema, COPD and eventually the need for oxygen supplementation. What a miserable way to end ones life - gasping for breath. (My mom is now on oxygen at the age of 74).

You are in my thoughts as I go about this quitting business for hopefully the very last time.

Smoked picnics are wonderful (nm)
nm
That is something to be proud of. I've never smoked
and I'm about as antismoking as you can get.  My parents smoked most of my life and 3 of my 5 siblings smoke/smoked.  It is a disgusting habit and unfortunately many of us have to suffer the dangers of second-hand smoke.  Glad you were able to kick the habit and it certainly is reason to celebrate and pat yourself on the back.
Gravy train?

I wouldn't call it ever being a gravy train.  We are highly trained professionals who work hard at what we do and we do it darn good, thank you very much.  It's not like we sat here eating our bon bons and getting upset because the banging away at the keyboard ruined our new manicure!  To say it was a gravy train is downright insulting, IMO.

That said, I don't have 30+ years in this profession but I do have 15+ years including working in-house and remotely from home.  My first at-home was around 1997 for a small company doing straight transcription, none of this VR stuff, which lasted only about 4 months until the work dried up.  The pay was good while it lasted though and there was 24 TAT, no punching a time clock and sticking to a strict schedule. As long as the work got down within 24 hours it was fine.  That same company is still around today as a national but not huge like others out there.  I ended up having to go back in-house and was there until about 4 years ago when I signed on with a very well known national that screws people to the Q, if you get my drift.  I don't know when the MT biz as a whole went into the toilet, but up until 2 years ago I had no problem.  I was working hard all the time as work was available basically 24/7.  Never did I get NJA except for an occasional week or two around the holidays but very quickly the workload would start to pick up.  I had a GREAT supervisor who made working fun and made us feel like we were a real team.  The company always had bonus incentives with quirky little games.  It may sound corny but it actually made us feel valued and brought some fun into it while making good money at the same time.  Then about 2 years ago, things started changing for the worst and it's been going downhill FAST every since.  Maybe the offshoring and technological advances have something to do with it, I really don't know.  One thing I do know, I DO NOT advise anybody new starting in this profession now.  What once was a professional and lucrative career has basically been made into a sweat shop scam for the so called "training programs" and large nationals to make a nice profit at the expense of the MTs.  It is such a cut throat business with accounts going to the lowest bidder just to save a few bucks.  I only hope that things will turn around some day soon and MT can be the professional career it once used to be.

Please don't say it was a gravy train.  Thank you.

Aw, you don't have to be a "pothead" to smoke pot at one concert. I hadn't smoked for 30
and haven't since, but they passed joints around at that concert and I toked, and it was fun. My brain is far from lame. :)
smoked picnic in crock pot...no muss, no fuss
Add to crockpot (no water needed). Cook high 4 to 5 hours and lo 11 to 12 hours.
i didn't say the reduction was gravy
i said what you have been getting up til now IS gravy -- you've been paid high-dollar for ASR when you don't have to do anything but edit.
Just ate some B&G that DD made, except I like my gravy on toast. nm
:L
I have gravy accounts, but I still plan to get out.
I have my own accounts, 14 cpl, and average 300 lph - or more.  You do the math.  Great $$, but I am tired of typing.  And I am tired of the lack of the respect MTs get.  And I am tired of the not so great MTs that make all of us look bad.  And I am sick of the wages being driven down because of big MT companies wanting to pay 7 or 8 cpl and make a big profit for themselves.  And I am sick of the companies sending work overseas.
Steak and gravy recipe...sm
I have eye of round and want to make a steak and gravy dish!!!!!!!!! Any recipes?  I have never made this before and I am not good with cooking meat, mine is always tough as shoe leather.  What is the secret to tender meat?
Then that is BAKED, not FRIED
if you were having baked chicken, I think you would have said that to begin with.
pork chops, mashed potatos, and corn on the cob.

My Grandma was 98 years old, smoked like a chimney, drank vodka
screwdrivers every day, and ran one of the first newspapers in our state. She was blind as a bat but loved to knit blankets for all of us. I think that's why the yarn colors clash so badly! LOL
