When I started, I was just thrown in to doing acute care. It was crazy, but after awhile it became much easier. I also invested in surgical/instrument word books. OP notes are my favorite now and I am more comfortable doing them than anything else. Just make it known that you are interested in learning OP notes and maybe they will give you a few to try. If you are looking into another job, then specify that you would like to be on acute care and interested in doing OP notes. Good luck!
