give you one. I have always had to ask for one, with the exception of my last raise which they gave me w/o my asking, though it was less than I would have asked for (.005 vs. .01). I work for a small MTSO (i.e. ~20 MTs). I plan on going for a .01 the next time (in Jan.07) and I am pretty sure I will get it too. I always wait a year (or longer) in between raise requests. So if I were you I'd go for at least .01 or more if you make less than .07 now.

Rule of thumb is if you are fired unemployment isn't as difficult to obtain. If you voluntarily leave a job, pray . . . harder to get it.
