I recently heard that an apple in the morning will wake you and give you more energy than coffee. I have yet to try this. Anyone hear of this or try it? I guess it also "keeps the doctor away." Maybe tomorrow.

Apple
Mac does have one that runs XP and all your old PC software. Go down and check it out. The lovely part is that they are virtually virus-free. Yay.
If you get a PC find someone in your town who will help you build it yourself. You will pay less than half-price that way. Just get enough RAM and the right processor for the software you intend to run and you are set. I don't care anymore what name is on the tower, just so it works and I can afford it. I have wasted thousands on brand names and reputations that went down the hole later on and then had to deal with "customer service" in some place in BFE that was PREVIOUSLY 24/7/365 and now was Monday-Friday 8-5 unless there is a holiday or the boss wears green khakis or there is a sale at Macy's, etc. Or they have been bought out by someone who honors your warranty in a "different fashion" and it is of little or no help. Or, the one where they tell you go to the wbesite, but you can't because you can't get online and they tell you to call back after you do that (get on line). I say no more - they aren't getting my money anymore! Look at all the $$ you will save and then you can get a killer monitor and other stuff with all the cash you save. You can order all the parts from discount PC suppliers and all you need are a couple of tools.
Good luck! Save Money!
American as apple pie
Many years ago I heard someone quote a prophetic statement - "The East shall look to the West and the West shall look to the East." I just never thought I would live to see such a rapid switch in my time. Let's see, we have Bush who sports an all American personna. I can't begin to count how many times he uses the word(s) "American way of life," yet never in the history of this country are we seeing hundreds of thousands of jobs in America in all fields given away to the far East and China. Even our military, the Navy, is considering having their fleets built in China! We fight a war with much of it under private contractors, we send our private information to third world countries but our leaders are touting the Privacy Information Act, huh? How can I support my president in his "all American as-apple-pie" agenda when he has demonstrated no regard for the American worker, our healthcare mess, or our jobs? The front door looks good, but the back door is something else. We work for big corrupt unethical corporations who require us, in our case, the lowly transcriptionist, to declare our integrity, and almost every day we hear scandal after scandal from these mega corporations who only get a slap on the hand for their unethical practices. I don't know about you, but it does bother me to work for or with a company that has no integrity. I'm not saying I work for one now, but it bothers me that so many people have to do so to keep food on the table.
apple juice !
supposedly a natural stimulant, and it works pretty well for me in a pinch.

We're in the process of making a cookbook at our church, and I put this one in. My MIL makes it, and it is so good!
how D as in David A as in apple
R as in Robert E as in elephant you complain about an a resident! Hasn't he earned the right to be here (just like the ESL's you came to love). I'm sure his ancestors were ESL's, right?
How's it feel to have someone blast your chance to vent a little?
Sounds like a bad apple.
say it is indicative of all MTs, just this one with a very unprofessional attitude. Maybe she has mental or emotional problems. I would cut her loose.

Keep a shallow bowl of apple cider vinegar on the counter.
This is something my mom did - worked for her, works for me. I set a small, shallow bowl of vinegar on the back of the stove or tucked into a corner on the cupboard. It cuts the odor down to almost nothing and keeps it gone. Plus, it's a whole lot cheaper than the over-perfumed stuff from the store.
It's my opinion that orange juice is tastier than apple juice.
