A lot of ER doc's dictate about if the patient had pain "going over bumps in the road on the way in to the ER".  Supposedly that is a good indication of appendicitis, like your jumping off the stool

    Has anyone ever had appendicitis?
I hate spending $100 bucks at the doctor's office just for him to tell me nothing is wrong!!.. so I have had right lower quadrant pain for about 3 days.  Sometimes it's a sharp pain, sometimes it's constant, and it hurts worse when I walk.  Maybe I just have a pulled muscle, or pre-cramps, or my friend who just had an appendectomy said it could be appendicitis?! Yikes! I think it might even be medical transcriptionitis!
    Appendicitis...ouch!.........sm
Right lower quadrant... and "VERY" tender on palpation.
What side do you hurt on with appendicitis?
