That it IS hard to find good MTs. I have always treated the subcontractors who have worked with me with total and complete respect and have paid them top notch line rates, plus thrown freebies in to boot. I still get back lame excuses as to why they can't work and/or crappy work, such crappy work and so many lame excuses that, in fact, I finally said, "That's enough! I don't need these headaches! I'll do it by myself!"

I can assure you that it is no harder to find
good MTs than it is to find a company who treats MTs with respect (you know, not calling somebody stupid because they don't know how to use offline messenger). I don't know how to use offline messenger, either, but I am smart enough to pick up the phone and call if my Internet connection is down for a significant length of time.

I would not send anyone to AAMT for any reason.

I personally know the family, and I assure you
that woman never "loved" her son in the traditional sense. I was quite disturbed actually to hear she was pregnant again.

I assure you, MTs NOT taking care of their own kids while working at home is NOT the rule. Its the
exception, and only on THIS negative board. I think that's why so many kid-hating MTs hang on this board, while all other MT boards are populated by MTs who not only work and LOVE their jobs, but also love raising their kids at home as well. So, please, don't go quoting exceptions and rules based on YOUR single opinion. There are LOTS of MTs who lurk on this board, who love their kids, and who have chosen to MT for the #1 reason to be with their kids, and they SUCCEED easily. To go with your thought process, honestly its just mothering skills - some mothers are just natural mothers and love it, while some...well, this board and the posts attests to their hearts...So many of you think one has to be a rocket scientist to MT, and even more of a rocket scientist to figure out how to amuse a baby for a day! Its NOT that complicated at all...not if one cares or loves.
