Speech recognition requires a lot of monitoring. The quality of speech recognition is in direct proportion to the amount of time you make changes to the system. So if management is not monitoring and making changes based on feedback from the MTs, the quality of the speech recognition will not be good. I am a supervisor, and I know that if I am not doing my job as far as making changes to the system and constantly monitoring it, then my MTs will not be able to excel and increase production. It might help to ask your supervisor who is responsible for making changes to your ASR system and then providing them daily feedback. Without that feedback from my MTs, I would not be able to improve my system. That is just one suggestion. Unfortunately, many in management believe speech recognition systems manage themselves, and this is just not true. Good luck.
