In Reply to: Adderall Rx - inattentive

My son was suspected to have ADHD, and he underwent hours of testing, as at first the school system said it was a behavior problem, which it was not, the expert in ADHD gave him a prescription for the Ritalin, and then his pediatrician took over on the prescritions. You really need the testing for this and it was a couple of hours as I remember, also questionnaires to fill out. My son has been taking Adderall 10 and then 5 mg at night, but you may have a physician who is knowledgable in this disease and can diagnose you with a questionnaire asking different questions for a low dose of the medicine. I believe now a lot of the experts in the field are leaning more towards biofeed back, no drugs instead, but that never worked for my son. I think my husband has it and my other son too, but my husband controls his with coffee (sounds weird but it does work). Good luck in your diagnosis.
