colored "patches" on it. Something like a 90-YO would carry. I figured she found it while going through her garage. She lived 4 states away so I didn't have to put on an act.
Then there was the time my DH gave me some nightgowns, which I needed, but he bought 2X and I'm a medium.

There aren't many males around. After the mate, the females eat them lol.
We have black widows galore here in Calif. I actually keep frogs in my yard (provide ponds for them) and they have made a big impact on the insect population.
Remember to always wear shoes (something I try to do).
I've got a leather Sealy Posturpedic chair that I got -(sm)-
at a local Office Depot store for not that much - maybe around +/- $200. It's adjustable 6 ways (height, back rest up/down/forward/back, seat forward/back tilt, and lumbar support adjustment. I spend sometimes 18 hours a day in this thing, and I'm never uncomfortable. Best $200 I ever spent!
moldy smell in carpet
I had the same thing and ended up finally tearing up the whole carpet and pad, then installing a wood laminate floor. It was expensive, but I had tried EVERYTHING, to no avail. Baking soda and vinegar are excellent remedies, IF the mold hasn't seeped into the pad. If it has, there is virtually nothing that will remove the smell altogether. We hadn't noticed the mold smell when we looked at the house. (The carpet had just been freshly shampooed to show the house.) It was after we bought it and moved in that we noticed it. Before my husband installed the wood laminate floor, we bleached the entire concrete slab, as the mold had also seeped in to the concrete. Bleach did the job on that. Good luck. :)

Those plastic container strawberries at the store always go moldy on me, too.
They must sit in a warehouse or truck where the plastic packages get really hot because the outside berries look great but the inside ones are moldy or mushy. That's probably why they go on sale! LOL Open the plastic package in the store no matter how good they look and look at all the berries. Wash them when you get them home and stick them in the fridge in a paper towel lined bowl.
I buy the huge crates or half crates of berries in the little green plastic baskets. I cut most of them up, sprinkle with a small amount of sugar, let sit in the fridge overnight in plastic pint containers to "juice", then freeze.
I planted six dozen strawberry plants this spring, which your post reminded me that I need to go pick strawberries, zucchini, and green beans again. Time to go find some unlocked cars and leave vegetables on the front seats.
Not MT related - I need suggestions on getting the moldy smell out of carpet.
I have had the carpet professionally cleaned, but there is still that moldy smell from the carpet having gotten wet a while back from an overflowed washer. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to make the smell go away? I plan on ripping the carpet up at some point and redoing the floor, but not ready for that yet. In the mean time, now with the hot weather, the moldy smell is really obvious. Help!

Nothing was missing. She did not take a purse. She only had her ID (to drink) in her pocket.
Everything else was in the hotel room. If she drowned she would have become shark or crab food.

That was her decision. Now she has no money left for food and/or necessities. She has to live with that, not you. Obviously, very foolhardy but you and i do not have control over the situation.

black widows
LOL, a creature of the underworld? I sure hope you are kidding. A black widow, as all spiders, are very much needed. They eat other bugs. Most spiders are harmless and black widows do not stray from their web very far. You can put a black widow in your hand and it will not bite you unless you pushed its head down on your hand.
Black at wedding
Black is stylish and I love it. I would suggest not wearing black stockings, etc. Do you have any bright colors you could add such as a cloth rose (very stylish)or some bright jewelry to offset the black. Try a thrift store for a bright bag or shoes. I just did that and found a pretty pink bag with black trim for a couple of dollars. That should offset the black. Just try not to go "totally black" but if you have to, so be it. Just wear a "smile" and have a great time! Life is temporary, enjoy it.

Don't worry about it. My sister wore black for 15 years when she was teenager and throughout her 20s; one of my nieces starting wearing black when she was in junior high. The niece is an RN and neither of them has ever done anything weird or satanic in their lives.
Some people love black - personally, I avoid it like the plaque, don't even buy black shoes or purses.

I believe cottonmouths are black, though not sure on that - sm
and copperheads have a distinct head as do most poisonous snakes (triangular/diamond shape). Copperhead bite is not fatal by any means and usually not even treated with any antivenom....dogs around here just get treated with antibiotics. Cottonmouths are very aggressive and from the sounds of it, it is not cottonmouth.

Looking for black keyboard that letters don't rub off.
Been through several, haven't found one yet that numbers didn't rub off. I have this one approximately 2 weeks from Logitec and I can see signs already where the letters and faiding.

Not a black or white thing
Am white, use reckon and fixin to, these are just southern expressions I grew up with. So funny told hubby I was gonna take my bath- he said well that was really rude. My grandson piped up and said everyone in his family took a bath. What a laugh that got! I told hubby the other day not gonna do something, just like beating a dead horse and spinning my wheels, no use. Gosh I wish I could think of more but mind is sorta blank on these at this time.
Visible black characters (VBC)
As of the recent AHDI/AAMT annual meeting, it appears that the method of line-counting known as VBC (visible black characters) is becoming a trend.
All MTs should read the following report from Perspectives in HIM, February 14, 2007.

To summarize: counting by VBC results in a 31.5% reduction in line count, compared to the traditional 65-line (with spaces) count.
Thus, to avoid a pay cut, any MT now earning 9 cpl should be raised to 11.8 cpl if line counting is switched to VBC.
This is a critical issue, and it does not appear that AHDI is taking any action to promote fair pay for MTs under VBC compensation plans.

Type as dictated. Oriental male and black male are both acceptable phrases.
Oriental, Caucasian, Filipino, Hispanic, Latino, etc., are all names of peoples/races and should be capitalized.
Color designations of race and ethnicity are not capitalized: black, white.

There was a posting regarding a black list
The poster was having a hard time finding employment because she had a disagreement with her supervisor and got fired. I was having the same problem (although I quit and didn't get fired) so I removed them from my resume. Guess what? I start a new job (outside the home and NOT transcription) next week. I'm excited to be inching my way out of this business. The money in transcription sucks and I'm tired of paying my own taxes, insurance, etc. Bye ya'll.
so is there such thing as a black list?
I just got "cut loose" and I was only with them for two weeks. I had never used escription/editscribe and that was mainly only thing I was struggling with. I was finally I think getting it and I have two years experience in transcription. Is it legal for a company you sign wi6ht to only give you two weeks? Always thought they were suppose to give someone a month. Especially if you have never used the platform/software and never really got any good training on it. I have put resumes out for many companies needing help and I have not heard anything back. Is there such thing as a black list if so how do I see or find out if my name is on it? If anyone knows how please let me know thanks!
