Could you tell us more about Saudi Arabia?
I saw those ads years ago in the MT magazines and thought it sounded really interesting. Supposedly they put you up in a house, gave you a car, etc? Really curious about your experience. :)
that job is in Saudi Arabia -
and apparently they want an American transcriptionist.
Anyone worked in Saudi Arabia at..
King Faisal Specialist Hospital? I know, I know, terrorism. Still, I am curious. I have been contacted and will be getting some answers to tomorrow. Wouldn't mind hearing from someone who has been there.
overseas work (Saudi Arabia, Dubai)
A long long time ago, in a place far away, when I was a CMT, I used to get advertisements contracting for jobs at King Faisal Hospital in Saudi Arabia as well as a hospital in Dubai. I just wondered if this was still going on. Maybe they just contracted everything to India (haha). Does anyone know about this?
Where is cowgirl
Haven't seen cowgilr on since Rita hit. If you are there, how did you make out!
Kewl!
Is he a lot like John Lennon? Astrology-wise and all?
Kewl...
Now if we could just come to a happy medium about MQ...lol!
Wait a minute, Cowgirl.
First, you didn't make all that information clear in your first post.
Second, I wasn't "beating you up" or any other poster. I was trying to give you a little advice to save yourself some emotion. Going to an attorney over the things you were talking about would just waste your money.
Third, I DO work for MQ. I AM concerned over changes happening with MQ.
I told you in my post you had a right to be upset. Especially if they changed your pay in the past and didn't tell you.
I got a DEP discrepancy check as well. I understand then problem going on. I also understand that all the emotion in the world isn't going to change what has happened in the past and, with the current legal activity against MQ, it won't change the present either, only the future. I see the discrepancy checks as the first step in rectifying the situation. I'm not thrilled about all that has gone on. I'm also not panicking over the upcoming changes with the MT/ME Rewards Plan. They will be what they are. I can take them or leave them.
Nothing about my post was "beating you up"; though with the juvenile whining on here it probably came across as more parental than immature adults care to hear. I told you I agreed with you - you had the right to be upset. I told you that I thought you would be wasting your money going to an attorney. I gave you a scenario about another company to show you that emotional involvement will not change the company -- which is what everyone is so hell bent on doing. Well, it won't. They will always find others to do the work for what they want to pay. I was trying to give you a little advice so save yourself.
My further opinion is you should get over yourself. You are not in this situation alone so don't start with how bad you've got it when others may have it just as bad or worse.
Where, I can't find cowgirl or "less than"
x

conspiracy theories or not - all this gives food for thought for those still living with a functioning brain. Also, there are literally thousands of these articles online for those who are interested.

The hospital was bombed about a year ago, but not a lot of damage, very minimal damage.
