A tech who doesn't work for MS (used to) but fixes computers told me 1 reinstall allowed.

Perhaps you could do an uninstall/reinstall of SH ??
:) Hope you get it fixed.
Reinstall Extext
It sounds like you need to reinstall extext. go to start menu, programs, extext client applications, and click upgrade. make sure you have everything closed except your VPN. That should clear things up for you.
You should be able to reinstall the program and use the
same serial number. If you need additional help, send me an email.
I wonder if a reinstall would work? sm
Did tech support try that? I would contact TT techs and let them know that dictaphone didn't or couldn't help you. It should work. Mine does. Keep us posted.
Thanks, no they didn't try a reinstall.
And I did tell them that Dictaphone couldn't help me. I wish I had been dealing with the other tech guy... I don't think he would have let it go so easily. I may call him tonight.
Think I will uninstall and reinstall
xx
Can't you just reinstall the Spellex? If the program .exe file is on your computer you should be
able to reinstall, unless upgrading totally re-formatted your hard drive, which I presume is the case here (this is where backing up things comes in handy). Maybe you can contact your school and ask for a new copy? As for cheap and good, I doubt the two go hand in hand. I use Stedman's Spellchecker and love it. Maybe you can look on ebay and get a copy that way for not too much $. Good luck.
if you determined you do have a sound card, uninstall express scribe and reinstall. sm
i have had some computer issues recently and it seemed there were some quirks with downloading it. i had to reinstall to get mine functioning although i wasn't getting the exact same response as you, but issues. i would also update your drivers if you do have a sound card before buying another one. right click my computer icon, hit properties, hardware tab, device manager, look under sound, video, and game controllers and you will see a sound card there if you have one. also notice if there are any yellow triangles or anything as those signal a conflict. email me if you need to.
