1/2 cc is not trivial - it is inaccurate!

Maybe if you just try to remember the rules per AAMT BOS when testing, things will go better for you.

Good luck!

It is and isn't trivial. Trivial about the spelling, but there is obvious pride (which I have too
to America. I think THAT is what the post was all about. Here in America we do it this way, etc. Many, many Americans are tired of the pandering and adjusting to the "many" ways of life out there - This is America and if you choose to come here then you should abide by our ways of doing/saying things. I feel strongly about that too! No feelings hurt, I hope...

If I were to move to France, I certainly wouldn't try to push my agenda or my way of speaking on others and expect them to pander to me in any way. I would respect their culture and their ways.
The mistakes were trivial
They did not tell you the rules and you did it correctly. They should have told you that you were to change it. I just hired on with a hospital system who really appreciates good MTs and you can find someone who will, too. Hang in there!
If it is inaccurate information...
why was 95% of my work ASR???
This would be a very inaccurate conversion.
A timed test will give you wpm for that type of skill. In truth, you probably type about 25 to 35 wpm when transcribing. Not your fault and you are not slow. You have to take time to change jobs, to spell check, look up words, listen to the pauses, go back and make changes, etc.

In a timed test, you do a straight 5 minutes of typing and its over.

When hiring people to complete forms, such as admission data, intake data, motor vehicle info, etc., the managers are much happier hiring someone who types slower but has 100% accuracy, because you cannot achieve over 25 wpm typing a form.

If you type 60 wpm (which is considered slow by those who know nothing but the wpm rate), and could maintain that for 8 hours, you would be transcribing 360 lines per hour, or 2800 lines per 8 hour shift without the use of an Expander or macros. I doubt there are many of us that can actually do that.

There are free typing tests that are timed on the internet. Take one of those and see how you do.
Nobody said they were fast and inaccurate...
When people are shopping for an expander, they want to know how it will improve productivity. It doesn't mean we don't care about accuracy.
This is trivial but driving me insane

I saw Matt Lauer named his new son Thijs.  Does anyone know how this is pronounced?  I can only think of "thigs" (rhymes with figs) and that just seems too weird to name anyone.

I am a supervisor. You were given inaccurate information.
This was also announced in MT News and other information distributed to everyone.

some doctors dont think that is trivial. They expect doctor's name to be spelled right
When you are working for someone across the world, it is hard to find the name of that particular doctor.

She is right to put a blank for this.

I had an account that demanded the physician's name to be spelled correctly. They think of it as an insult.
