is a different culture
and mindset :)
Baby, but in my culture we do that.
ask them about their "corporate culture"
do they reward teamwork, and in what way, what opportunities are there for advancement within the company, where does this office plan to be in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years (i.e. are they planning on opening up a new office in the next town, hiring PA's or NP's, etc.). Basically the same generalized questions the interviewer throws around, but directed back at them...
They want to understand the culture.
If you were going to market a product to a certain subculture you would want to learn the dialect, habits, ect. They may need to learn it for a public health campaign, working in that culture, or sociology book # 8,245 on urban poverty. ;)
Nothing..just want to broaden his musical culture a bit...nm

Master's in psychology.
Is it just me, or do the posters who are claiming to have master's degrees in psychology seem to be the ones who are completely confused, angry, and irrational? It seems that they are the ones most in need of psychoanalysis. Heaven help anyone who actually who actually tries to get help from these nut jobs! By the way, I assume nut job is politically incorrect, but I don't don't give a flying...
Psychology Transcription?
Hey all,
I am trying to find out how to get into psychology transcription as a somewhat new MT. I originally had started out going to school as a psych major, but I wasn't sure it was what I wanted to do. So instead of going to school for 8 years and deciding I hated it, I stopped. I then went back to school for a year to become an MT, because I missed being around the healthcare scene, but I have never quite been able to muster up the courage to become a nurse or other hands-on staff member. I have now decided that although I enjoy being an MT, I also want to finish my psych degree.
Anyways, I would love to get into transcribing for a psychologist. Does anyone know if that is possible for a new MT or do they usually look for seasoned MTs? Would I be better off trying to work for a local psychologist or are there MTSOs that cater specifically to them?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
Not the OP, but I lived there too (in Honolulu) years ago and loved it. Definitely a culture

Interior design? Psychology? sm
There are some degrees that are great, but will require a Master's or higher to make you rise above the rest. You also need internships and other experiences to help.
And there are others that are definitely not "worthless" (though I don't think ANY degree is worthless), including nursing, physical therapy, and others. You're pretty much assured of a great job with those.
psychology terms and tests
anyone know of a good website to get some basic psych. terms, tests, etc? I am soon to start a new psych account, and have done very few psych reports of any kind....thanks for any input!
Bonus Psychology from MTSO POV
On the one hand, two part-time no benefit people would be cheaper in some ways. Plus they could tag-team a work schedule for greater coverage ability if they're both working 24 hours/week because that would add up to 6-7 days per week coverage instead of 5.
On the other hand, one dependable full-time busting her rump to get 350 LPH for a bonus paid in peanuts (most likely) is fewer headaches for scheduling - just one person to call off instead of two, just one person to need every Saturday off instead of two, plus the pleasure of watching that one person work like a fiend in order to try to make that quota.
Throw in a few No-Job-Available days for the one person, such that she can't make her bonus quota, and you've got yourself a winner there!
Currently working on bachelors degree in Psychology

Kids are grown and gone and I no longer need to be home all day. The cats don't need as much supervision as the kids did.
