I just had my computer built and went with a 64 bit AMD processor, which is going to out do the Pentium IV by a long shot. XP of course. a large hard drive, and opposed to the CD burner, I went with the DVD burner, because they can dual layer and put more on a disc. and as in the previous message...an expensive sound card...Makes a lot of difference.

ppl who borrow your 'puter
I own my own computer for and work as an IC from home.
I have a question regarding computer etiquette, I guess you'd call it. Do you consider it rude or out of line for another family member who is visiting your home to use your computer and to do so without asking? I am uncomfortable about this but since I didn't speak up the first time it happened, I feel like I didn't set a boundary and to do so now would be tough.
Personally, I would never dream of using someone else's computer. But that's just me.
What do you think of this?

I really try to make it a point not to lend anything I care about. This includes my 'puter, my car, my bike, and anything else of value!
