You're right, being an independent truly IS where the money is, but if you think you have problems now.. watch out. The ride is nice in the beginning, lots of money to be earned; made $100,000.00 the first year; however, no time to myself, 2 hours sleep every night if I was lucky, even higher demands for TAT, having to practically sue your clients that refuse to pay. I know I sound like sour grapes, but I feel sorry for anyone having gone through what I did and what all the transcription companies are going through. If you must transcribe, work for the "establishment".
