As for the 19 yo, give him a week to start paying $50/week plus a specified chore or hit the road. When it is a week, give him a certified letter for a 3-day eviction. In three days, change the locks. He will be mad, but he won't go hungry or homeless, and the anger he will get over in time.
With the daughter, offer to take the children in while she gets it together. The kids will qualify for TANF (usually about $150-300/mo), WIC benefits, Medicaid insurance and possibly daycare subsidy. You would not get that if she is in your home.
Times are hard all over, my friend, and some will critize this post, but honestly if you can come into a power position with your grown children now, the word suicide will only appear in the reports you type and not in your own writing.
