sounds to me like we are pretty much on target. the problem of course comes in that I am the one who gets the morning duty of the cranky and tired child who doesn't want to move if he's sleepy. my husband gets the luxury of being the nice one who lets him stay up late. i was feeling a little guilty for saying no to a later bedtime but i think we are right on target with most other kids and i don't mind the occasional or later on weekends. guess i just needed a little reassurance that i wasn't being "mean." thanks everyone!
