Slipping rib syndrome? sm
There is a girl I know who has been having this kind of problem for over 3 years, to the point that she was on chronic strong pain medication. A few months ago, she was diagnosed with slipping rib syndrome caused probably from a bout of costochondritis that didn't fully go away and caused her rib cartilage to basically wear down and make her ribs start rubbing against each other. They tried epidural blocks that helped temporarily, but she finally had her lowest rib on one side removed about 6 weeks ago and was without pain there for the first time in years. She is possibly going to need the next 2 ribs removed on that side and possibly all 3 on the other side to completely take care of the problem. Resting and antiinflammatories are the first line of treatment, though, if it is still early in the process. Hope you get some relief.
Yes, I have the blonde hair syndrome...
I got on my treadmill one day and it seemed to be lagging, not working right. Hmmm, what could be the problem? "Honey, can you check this out for me?" Dh runs it at neck-breaking speed to see why it's not working normally. Then, he lifts the runner bed up, and there's my huge Dorland's Medical Dictionary underneath! Problem fixed, dear. Talk about feeling stupid. My treadmill is right behind my desk and keep my book right there next to me on the floor. It must have gotten moved over a little more;-) I have these moments every so often.
you have got the ole stick it to the dentist syndrome
I paid that bill also and it is awful. Tell the dentist you want a different prize.
they told me it was post-cholecystectomy syndrome
and that it was pretty common and would gradually and eventually stop. I was just thinking today that wow, I haven't been sick to my stomach or puked at work in at least a month now, and the diarrhea has been better too. So maybe that is all it was. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
Does anyone have this or know of someone that does. My 13-year-old daughter was having trouble catching her breath and has a very high heart rate, up to 220 when she was running in gym. I took her to the doctor's today and they did blood work and did an EKG, which he said was normal (the blood results will be back in a few days). He said that it sounded like she either had a thyroid problem of Wolff-Parkinson-White. I look it up quickly in my medical dictionary and understood it slightly. I wondered if anyone knew what the treatment for this was. I know her doctor will let us know, of course, but she's very anxious as are her father and I. Heart problems run in our family. My husband had open heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement two years ago.
I googled post tubal syndrome
What I found scariest is the way doctors commonly try to blow off your symptoms - blame formerly being on the pill as being why it was never this bad before, or just act like you're being a big baby. Many women on those forums saying "thank god I read this - now I know I'm not crazy". I went to several doctors (male and female)about the pain and not ONE of them said it could be related to my tubal. They don't want to admit these side effects are common, and they don't want to admit they don't know what to do about it. They want us to just shut up and deal with it. Its shameful the way they sweep this under the rug, and the only way you find out its common is word of mouth. No such thing as "informed consent" when it comes to tubals! We need to spread the word! Like call Oprah or something!
Changes of a Down syndrome baby go up with age, though. You'll need to decide if an amnio & its

Epstein-Barr or chronic fatigue syndrome
Anyone here deal with Epstein-Barr virus and/or chronic fatigue syndrome? My 17-year-old DD was diagnosed recently with CFS. Her EBV titer came back at 2900 or so. She hasn't been sick with a fever or sore throat for over a year but has been tired a lot for at least that period of time, so we assume she was infected at least a year ago. She never had swollen nodes, so I really don't have a specific time in mind.
She is also anemic and recently started iron supplementation. Hopefully that will help some. We just wondered about some tried-and-true therapies for the symptoms. Hopefully she will be one whose levels continue to fall over time.

Google post tubal ligation syndrome
Very many people find there are side effects to a tubal. My worst problem since having one is horrible, debilitating cramps. Every.single.month! Sometimes they get so bad I can't work at all, and I have to baby myself during that time every month as the least amount of physical activity brings 'em on. I have been to numerous docs (who act as if I'm exaggerating the pain), had numerous prescriptions - they finally put me on a strong psychotropic drug (where you still feel the pain but you're so stoned you don't really care).
I had never heard of PTLS prior to my tubal and had no idea what I was in for. Docs don't give full disclosure, IMO, as to the risks. Please look into the numerous websites on it - the testimonials of people who all have identical symptoms should be enough. This can mess you up until menopause - and its completely unfair to take on a sentence of pain vs some guy's ego!
Google post tubal peace of mind syndrome
Nah, just kidding but I had a tubal at age 29 after my second child, knew definitely did not want another, had always said no children at all after 30 and that is what I did. Never had the first problem with it. I would not try to talk a guy into a vasectomy if he had any drawback to it because lots think it somehow takes menhood away and men can be such big babies to start with sometimes.
Should say the child found in Florida proved to be the Caylee child, homicide.

I would say 39 is middle age
since average life expectancy is around 78 or so. Doesn't mean I like it :)
I don't know about that...middle age 60-80?
Meaning most people live to like 120-160? WOW! lol I don't know what everyone else is thinking by these replies but I always thought middle age meant the "MIDDLE" of one's lifetime...doesn't it????
Right in the middle of
Carol Burnette on The View. I live in Virgina and am not very concerned about the NY governor. Although I do think he should resign.

yes we sure are here in middle America!
So do my folks on the w. coast, and our celeb friend in Tx, its great! Dancing is an art form, and i am intriged by the quickness and methods that these newbies learn the dances, how well they perform them, how their character plays into it, etc. Love it!
TLR look towards the middle of this page
there is a post up above for you!
i got caught in the middle
of a redneck area. needless to say, I fled the area and the boyfriend. too much for me. I'm a yankee, and so is he, but he was use to the so called rednecks. I do love the more cosmo parts of south. Can't help it!!
Here in middle Georgia, we are just
happy not to have the 100s. Reasonable now at 76 today. Gosh, fall… oh, yes, that is when the leaves all fall.
In the middle of the CA fires
We definitely need prayers. I am in Thousand Oaks, California, inland between Malibu and fires on the other side - Piru, Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch. Breathing is almost impossible. The first day we were clouded completely in white smoke and ashes everywhere. All the windows have been closed for days, and still I find fine dust and ash all over inside the house. I have been here in this town for 26 years, and have never ever seen winds like these. It is unbelievable. We get a break in the wind, and the sky clears, but just when you think it is over, there is another fire erupting somewhere nearby. So far, no fires in the immediate town, just smoke drifting over to our city. We need prayers. If I am a nervous wreck I can imagine how heartbreaking it is for the people who have lost everything to the fires. They say maybe this will let up tomorrow. I can't image another day of this. The winds are so strong, my yards are destroyed. All the flowers in the beds are down, my vegetable garden is ruined, and there are tree branches all over my roof. This too will pass.
Yep, smack dab in the middle.
Near some joint called Bangor.
My husband took a nap once in the middle of the day
and by 8:00 p.m., his wife, in her early 40s, had died. It was completely unexpected. She was not sick prior to this happening.
That time he was right. I can count a zillion other times when his predictions and dreams were dead wrong.
Nothing with UFOs, sorry. I remain a skeptic.
liar is my middle name
or is it fraudulent, deceitful, duplicitous, or two-faced? I kind of like the sound of two-faced. It's perfect for me.
In the middle of the night?
They'd come in every night, have a noisy destructive party, and leave come dawn. Does the animal control in your area work 24/7? Ours doesn't. We tried blocking all entrances to the basement and they'd dig around it and get in anyway, making it clear they wouldn't take no for an answer. Was I supposed to blast music down my ducts all night, every night? I don't think so, my sleep is more important. IMO its less "cruel" than hunting for "sport". I was protecting my property and my peace of mind. I also have no problem killing bats that get in my house, and trapping smaller animals and relocating them elsewhere. If animals are outside, I don't mess with them. If they come in my house, I have a right to get them out by any means necessary.
If that is middle-class then I have to be
below the poverty level.
middle-aged
The only time the kids are allowed to hang out at my house is on my days off.
If my kids are bored, they do some of the chores I would have otherwise had to do like cooking, cleaning, fixing things around the house, etc.
As far as I am concerned the cure for boredom is WORK and the cure for work is play, in that order. Why should they goof around and eat your food while you bust your tail? Put them to work or send them home.
My son also volunteers for the local museum when he becomes too self-absorbed for anyone to stand him. That snaps him back into shape! and you are right, the dropping/picking up is a giant pain.
And not that it is true, but my son says that the "mall" is where they are hooking up in the dressing rooms, so I don't think I would pick that as an alternative....just me...
I'm in the middle of book now, very good!
I've always liked her and wanted to read more about her and Phil, how they met and all. I can relate in some ways with the alcoholic father. I'm going to try to finish it tonight or over the weekend, at least!
The older I get, the higher *middle age* becomes. lol. nm

wait until middle school!
This is easy-cheesy stuff. In middle school, they get really catty. Glad those years are over. High school has actually been a dream in comparison.
Well, I'm right in the middle, not skinny just healthy
I've never really been skinny, I'm too curvy to ever be skinny, but I'm at a healthy weight (bmi of 21) and very happy with my body. I pretty much eat whatever I want, just know I need to exercise more if I eat high-calorie/high-fat foods. I've been overweight but was miserable and decided to make a change, definitely much happier now.

I keep dreaming about going to a funeral and in the middle SM
of the service the deceased gets up and falls on ME! No kidding. Two nights ago TWO of them in one night! What the hay does that mean??? I need your wisdom and guidance!
Okay, it's the middle of November, where's Jericho?? sm
Yes, I looked online but couldn't find any chatter about it except I guess the writer's strike may be the cause for the delay in airing the new season. I've been waiting very patiently.... Anyone know when we might expect to see it air??
For those middle aged ladies on here, if you are
5' 3-1/2" and a medium build what weight do you like to keep yourself at without looking too gaunt or too heavy.
What exactly is considered Middle Class?
Unless I heard wrong last night, during the debate, $250,000 is considered "Middle" class. I don't think so.
Anyone?
Yes, especially me (oldest) and my middle sister. (sm)
Main difference is she's taller. One time she was visiting me and we went out for lunch. A lady came up to us and asked, 'Are you identical twins or fraternal twins?' She sure was surprised to learn that we weren't twins at all, just regular, run-of-the-mill sisters!
middle school kids who need
The library will accept volunteers at age 11. I would go sign up today.
Every other place has insurance restrictions for age.
All the camps around here fill up in February or March, but I would still try to find her something fun to do. Meeting other kids at camp may cost you money, but when she is there she is not thinking about money, just being with the other kids her age.
Or when they leave their cart in the middle of the parking lot
when the cart corral is right nearby. One time, I saw a lady unload her groceries and then just give her cart a push across the parking lot. She saw me watching her and jumped in her car quick and drove away. That's just laziness.
Putting in middle initial so can differentiate
the difference is that apparetnly this law is to have women see a fetus growing and thinking this will change their mind by seeing the ultrasound. My heart told me what to do and my mind certainly was such that I had more sense than to bring a child into the world I could not possibly care for financially to start with. I never worried a minute or a day with my decision. I can live with most all decisions I have made in my life very easily.
It is very common in the south to keep your maiden name as your middle name. But, I sm
was talking about not taking your husband's name at all.
I use middle rack unless large cut that needs more room.

People who constantly interrupt me in the middle of a SM
sentence. A friend called last night at 10:45 (that's another one . . . she doesn't work, is home all evening and decides to call all the time when I am going to bed), and I tried to finish a sentence three different times. She kept interrupting and yelling something to her husband (loudly in my ear). She finally finished talking to him and then said "Go on. . . " I was just quiet for about 20 seconds waiting for the another interruption. Bad habit and very, very annoying. Sweet person, but drives me nuts.

I have 2 children in middle school (5th and 6th) grade. sm
They have 4 different lines they can choose from. They have the regular line; the Mexi/Itali line which has spaghetti, raviolis, tacos, etc, the sub line which has sub sandwiches, baked potatos and salads; and the the "fast food line" which has popcorn chicken, steak fingers, etc. They also offer sports drinks, ice cream, tea etc. Our school website is set up where I can view what they have for lunch on a daily basis and so if I see them making a bad choice, I can discuss it with them. Might want to suggest something like this to your school officials.
I have. See him on infomercials in the middle of the morning trying to sell is nonsense...
to fill is how pockets. Just one example of his "natural cures"....any physician will confirm, with 100% certainty, that patients with end-stage renal disease who receive dialysis 3 x weekly can not be cured by KT's natural methods. He's one of the biggest so-called medically knowledged shysters out there, praying on innocent, uneducated, poor people.
I take a Tagamet before bed. It has completely eliminated that middle-of-the-night sm
problem associated with GERD and LPR. I had that really bad type with the vomit-like taste, severe burning and pain. Tagamet was suggested by a friend and is the only thing that works. I forgot it one night and it was right back. It's OTC which is nice and a lot less invasive that surgery! If you can stop the acid, you stop the problems associated with it. Good luck!
Orlando is near middle of state and no beaches close, so
